Actually the Franklin Mint released a pewter, opening features version of this many years ago.

Nice, but GT Spirit really needs to improve their level of detail – as in lack of. For a large 1:12 model it should be better detailed. They always cut too many corners by having most of the interior detail only molded in, and poorly made heavy painted silver windshield wipers. At least this Corvette has an accurate body shape and is MUCH better than their 1:12 Ferrari Daytona, and 250 GTO.

i wish they made it in 1:18 since the all options with these wheels looks horrible

    They couldn’t do a fuelie?

Got a Franklin Mint 1/12 1967 427 roadster with a real fiberglass body and all opening features. Pass on this one. 1/12 with no opening features… Come on ACME! By the way, where’s the 1965 and 67 corvette coupes and roadsters in 1/18? I’d much rather have those instead, those would be real collectibles worth hanging on to.

This model is produced by and from GT Spirit, not made by ACME. Only the color is exclusive through ACME who are one of GT Spirit’s distributors.

Yes, but they are still selling these through their channels. Still trying to make my voice or more precisely, my disappointment heard.

Got it. I understand better now. This big 1:12th model should be better than it is. I have no interest in it either, and am happy with the two ‘split-window’ models I already have…..both more detailed than this big one. AutoArt 1:18 with opening panels, and a surprisingly great little 1:43rd by IXO.

For me it’s funny to this one today while I have a great old one by Danbury Mint 1:24 with openings, great engine details, leather sits and flock… and that was about 15 years ago, and you can get one today for 70$!

  7. 63 stingray says:

It’s shame… Beside the other things, shape of the rear glass is a big fault.
I think the best 63 corvette model is danbury 1/24.

  8. Dave T says:

Will GT Spirit be making this 1963 Corvette in any other colors!!!
