Nice – indeed, but in my opinion not even close to CMC’s TALBOT-LAGO T150-C SS COUPE- which has fallen way behind at #2 for this year’s best. Hmmmm?

    • Atalante says:

As for the Model of the Year for sure the CMC is 10x better that this AR Range Rover but the MOTY is not about the BEST model but the one that ticks the most boxes for the vast majority of collectors. Same concept for the car of the year, otherwise Ferrari or Porsche would always get the top spot. The CMC Talbot Lago is the unrivaled model released in 2017 but belongs in a niche of its own.

It’s not just that – the CMC is three times the price of the AR. The CMC is the better model of course, but it’s not three times better. If we didn’t consider things like value for money, then the award should go to an Amalgam 1/8 every year. AR would be a worthy winner, IMO.

It’s pretty odd how the AR picked up what, like 200 plus votes seemingly overnight?

European users with different time zones

The very positive review for the Almost Real Bentley came out and even noted that it was too bad that it hadn’t been on the list for model of the year. And shortly after that the poll changed dramatically. I’m guessing some readers picked up on the reviewers comment and voted for the Almost Real model that had been on the list and basically voted for the company that produced the deserving Bentley- not this specific Range Rover model.

Probably got plugged somewhere on a social network in Asia – or somewhere else

A good review. This voting explains more than an ordinary voting. This is a welcome ceremony for new actor – Almost Real – in the market and voting shows that collectors have the power of putting a new actor to the top and others down.
CMC is not appealing to a vast collector group but Almost real can do this. I am an American lover however after seeing this beuaty, I changed my mind and can add this LAnd to my garage. So everybody can do this too.
Autoart and otther should make inference as a good lesson from this voting. This voting is a good reply to Autoart and others

    • Moondawn says:

That would have been the case if AA wouldn’t take hold of third or even second place, with a model that shouldn’t even have been on the list.
