Amalgam Ferrari 70th Anniversary Collection in 1:18 Scale

Team Amalgam is opening the flood gates in Ferrari 1:18 scale.  Announced earlier this week, to mark the 70th anniversary of the Ferrari, an ambitious project of 350+ 1:18 scales models is in the works.  The first of which are coming this July.  Is this even possible?  Someone at Amalgam is smoking the devils lettuce for sure.  Press release below.

“As part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Prancing Horse, Ferrari Tailor Made, together with the designers of Centro Stile have put a modern twist on the stylistic features and elements that distinguished 70 of the most beautiful Ferraris in history and in so doing have created 70 unique designs. 70 special livery designs adorn 5 currently available Ferrari cars, a total of 350 unique Ferraris.  Amalgam Collection are proud to have been appointed by Ferrari to create fine 1:18 scale replicas of these 350 cars.  Working closely with Ferrari these fully handmade models are in the early stages of development now.  The first finished models will be ready for delivery starting in July.”

This is best titled “Wretched Excess”…. no need for costs like this.. and their 250 GTO looks like an over-inflated blimp compared to the svelte lines of the Kyosho version.. the most accurate to date in shape..
