AutoCult announces a special edition 1:43 Ferrari 375MM, called the Ingrid Bergmann edition.  More on the car itself below.  The replica though will be crafted in resin with closed-body design.  Production units will be limited to only 333 pieces worldwide.

About the Ingrid Bergmann Ferrari…  “Not many glamorous relationships of the movie and show business enriched also the automotive industry. An exception here was the marriage of Ingrid Bergman, one of the most important and most successful actresses in film history and the prestigious director Roberto Rossellini.

In 1950 the 44-years old Italian married the 35-years old Swedish actress. Four years later he commissioned a unique vehicle at Ferrari as a gift for his wife. The then 61-years old top designer Battista “Pinin” Farina created a new body based on the existing Ferrari 375 MM. The new body was painted in a by then unavailable and complete new coloring for a Ferrari. The new coloring got the special designation “Grigio Ingrid”. Before the car was delivered to Roberto Rossellini, the public could set eyes on the unique sports car at the Paris Salon in 1954. Significant features of the Bergman Ferrari were its both stylistic elements at the rear, which framed the rear window and ended at the back end of the rear, and the lateral design directly behind the front wheel cases.

This unique Ferrari has survived down to the present day and was the first Ferrari, which was honored at the prestigious Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach (2011).”
