BBR 1:18 Ferrari 488 GTE “Press Version”

From CAD drawing to pre-production sample in a few short months, the latest project from BBR is something special, will at least to me.  I have a connection with press or as I call them presentation scale models, the Ferrari 488 GTE ‘Press Version’ is definitely one of those cool pieces.  I must admit that the White with Black accents version is just as stunning as the Red!  All variants of this model are presented below.  Suggested retail starts at 345 Euro.

“Ferrari is preparing its latest assault on sports car racing with new racing versions of the 488 GTB. Presented at Mugello, the lineup includes both GTE and GT3 racers to replace the current models that were based on the 458 Italia. Though little in the way of details were revealed at the vehicles’ presentation, the principal change they present over the accomplished versions they replace are their new turbocharged engines. The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 replaced the 4.5-liter atmospheric V8 in the road-going version, and is now carried over to the race track as well. Output will, of course, be catered to the regulations pertaining to both classes.”

BBR had been advertising these 488 GTE’s for some time but only has some hand sketches of the car.
However last week when the announced the car with photos of the actual model< i was so impressed that I jumped in and ordered the Rec Corsa 322.
