BBR Prototype Ferrari F40 LM 2-Seater

We have our first look at 1:18 Ferrari F40 LM 2-Seater prototype, photos were released by BBR earlier today.  A similar model will shown back in April of 2016, the key difference between the two vehicles are the two seats and round headlight.  Model is limited to only 300 pieces and features black alcantara base with red stitching.  Pricing starts at 315 Euro.

About the Ferrari F40 LM…  “Daniel Marin, the France Ferrari president, required to Enzo Ferrari a new version of F40 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  As result, at the beginning of 1989 were built in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili, two riding cars known as the F40 LM.  The car during the first test was supervised by the test driver Dario Benuzzi and, before to compete at Le Mans, the car made its debut in the IMSA GTO Championship at Laguna Seca circuit with the Jean Alesi driver. Started in the second position, the car finished the race in third place.  The following season, in 1990, Ferrari France deployed again one or two F40 LM in some tests of the Championship, winning a total of four podiums, but lacking the desired victory.”

    Anyone know the release date?

I have never seen an F40 with this front while retaining pop-up head lights. The referral image doesn’t show them either. I don’t know, something about these 1/18 BBR F40’s seems off…
