First Look: Auto World 2016 Camaro SS

Auto World is getting closer to the production version of their diecast version of the 1:18 Camaro SS 2016.  The model shown is in it’s early hand-sample form.  Some areas are still rough, but from what we gather the exterior and motor detail look promising, we also need to mention to the undercarriage intricate detail too.  Auto World claims this is some of their best work to date, we agree!  Model will be released later this year.

I got the Maisto 2016 Camaro SS and it’s not too shabby itself! Some of their best work too. Still needs some detailing to make it look really good though. But the AW brings a lot more to the table now. Nice detail pretty much all over! the underside looks great, including the exhaust system crimped at the rear axle… good detail inside and underhood. Different style wheels from the Maisto too, good! One thing that just makes me scratch my head is why didnt they just go all out and make the ZL-1 or the SS with the 1LE option? Future plans? Here’s to hoping. Why not, the Nissan GTR has been replicated in just about every possible iteration… The Camaro is just about as iconic as the Nissan with even more preformance and competition history. Yet the 5th generation wasn’t taken seriously by the higher quality diecast manufacturers. No ZL-1 ( except for one badly put together resin), no Z/28…
