AUTOart gives us a first look at the production version of the upcoming 1:18 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. This Corvette variant features the Red exterior with White stripes and Black Fender Hash Marks. There are five versions expected, each is detailed below with model number. The Red should be shipping as early as Q1 2018.

The first samples had Z06 rims, this one has the proper GS rims, the front splitter and rear spoiler are correct for this model too, looks great in red! can’t wait for the Watkins Glenn grey, black and blue and the admiral blue, white and red. I’m waiting in line with money in my hand. Haters, start your diecast metal engines!

This interior looks like carved out from one piece of plastic. The dashboard, door cards and even seats are made from the same old disgusting blue-grayish plastic. My 1st gen. Gallardo has the same interior. How do they manage to do it? However, the exterior looks good.
A very welcome surprise that they actually did change the rims and engine. Can’t wait to see this one in admiral blue. I think I’ll have to get that one, even though I already have AA’s Z06.
Very true, I was also disappointed when i saw the first shots that had the Z06 rims. This one is just right. The Admiral blue one should be spectacular.
Grand Sports have red tail lights. I hope the production versions correct that.
Looks like they did miss out on the tail lights being silver as on the Z06 instead of red, I just got the red and white with black fender stripes and the black and white with yellow fender stripes… They are gorgeus! Especially the black car, there is that little plus because of the color contrast and the wheels being silver really perk it up! The interior is better than in the pictures, it’s not a blueish grey, it’s black. They do have Michelin marking on the tire sidewall which is a nice touch on these compared to the ones on the Z06! The engine is definitely different from the Z06 which has the supercharged LT4 , the one in the GS is the “regular” LT1. I say they have a very nice replica. I have the Watkins grey-blue striped on order and is about to come in. Can’t wait to get my hands on that one!
