Australian media is reporting executives at Volkswagen Group are taking into consideration rebranding the automotive giant into Auto Union.

According to GoAuto, such a decision would allow the group to separate Volkswagen-badged models from the overall corporate image. It's a decision which actually makes a lot of sense taking into consideration that under Volkswagen Group's large umbrella there are numerous companies: Audi, Lamborghini, Skoda, Seat, Bugatti, Bentley, MAN, Scania, Ducati and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
