Taking apart a Norev Murcielago LP640

Post by nick robson » Thu Oct 12, 2017 3:15 pm

Hi guys, I'm looking for advice on dismantling a Norev Murcielago LP640. I tried to do it on my own but I ran away scared when I heard that crackling sound of broken plastic

Thankfully I didn't screw it up, but I didn't make any progress either.

As far as I can see, there are only two screws on the front but also there are two on the back, inside the rear wheel arches - very tricky to access or even take a proper picture of it.

The rear screws don't seem to serve a purpose because they don't look like they're attached to the bodywork, I think they're probably there to attach the rear pop-up vents but of course I might be wrong.

How do I access those screws?

Thanks!

You need to remove the wheels. Pull hard. I take zero responsibility ;)

That's very reassuring :D

But I'll give it a try. :fingercrossed:

Not sure if Norev has a set screw behind the centre of the wheel. Don't do much in modifying models.

Like Davide said, pull out the rear wheels. Twist both rear wheels outward while pulling them off. Once you have achieved this, it should be easy to dis assemble the model. I have worked on a few Norev LP640 before and so far, none of them got broken when I pulled the rear wheels off.
