Customized Porsche 991 varients

Here are my 3 customized 991's - Minichamps Turbo S, Minichamps Carrera S Cabriolet, Welly Carrera S Coupe. Each model was stripped down to bare metal before being repainted. Interiors were completely revamped and detailed out as well.

Began Life Meteor Grey. Loved the color but I've always been a huge fan of Metallic Red on a Turbo Porsche.

This Minichamp 991 Carrera S Cabriolet started out as the silver with black interior version. I have an afinitiy for pearl white Cabriolets & I am a sucker for a red interior on a convertible. This was a very fun project.

Lastly, one of my favorite recent projects. I had originally purchased the Minichamp version of this car but when I came across a great deal on the Welly version, I sold the Minichamp & purchased it. I was itching to make a functional sunroof after I saw a real 991 at a car show with the sunroof open. This car started off life as the Yellow version with black interior. Just like all of my modified models, the car was stripped to bare metal prior to the repaint. Interior went from black to tan.

Minichamps Turbo S - I can't say its my first choice for colour on the 991, but it definitely holds it well!

I like them to make my cars fairly unique to my own personal tastes (and when I eventually buy a real one, it'll have to be red or white, depending on the model) :-)

I'm usually not a fan of this colour but the Porsche certainly wears it well! Welly seems to have did a fantastic job with the Porsche.

Love the white on red Cabrio...the colors on the 2 Coupes are unusual, but they turned out fantastic.

The open sunroof on the Carrera looks really good!

Thanks Gavin. I am a sucker for white on red porsche cabriolets. The red is actually a Mazda color - Copper Red Mica- Has always been my favorite shade of red. Scribing the sunroof lines out on the Welly carrera S took a few hours of VERY STEADY & CAREFUL HAND to get that sucker out. In my opinion, it was so worth it though as I believe it its one of the greatest features on the 991.

I didn't know you're also into detailing Gavin. I have been doing it professionally since 2006.

Sorry for the OT mazspd3jase . :)

not even close to a professional job, but substantially better than they would do. I used to do it on the side for friends, but barely have the time to keep my own cars clean now.

they are a favorite....but there are a few other cars that I love to see done in some variation of white paint with red interiors. I did my SLS Roadster, coupe, and just redid the SLR coupe I have in the same color combination. Saw an SLR and SLS at a car show in Houston and fell in love!
