I broke down and ordered. Their stuff tends to sell out fast and the F40 is the most important car ever made to me.

Got a display case from Legacy to display in my garage until I get started on the diorama.

I got the same colours as yours from d&g and BBR, but the BBR comes with red base.
I agree that the BBR one is not even close to D&G, but remember, that's almost cost double of the BBR.

Agreed. Like your sig too ;) I just ordered the TSM McLaren F1 in orange. Then most likely an Otto 190 Evo 2 or an Autoart R34 GTR Z tuned to finish off the display.

a Nissan R34 GTR Z tune will complete your display. I shouldn't have sold my R34 collection, I miss them!

Ugggg. I just found out the Amalgam 1:18 F40 is a non opening version. Cancelled the order. Total bummer. Guess I'll have to wait for them to hopefully release a 1:12 version.

I did but never saw anything that said non opening. I'm new to this and have never heard or known what the term curbside model is. Oh well. They did refund me immediately. Glad I asked! Would have been a huge disappointment. I do love the F40 but only the LM and Competizione are worth buying without opening detail. Guess I'll take another look at the Kyosho high end 1:18.

Honestly find yourself a good one from Kyosho. It is a good model, diecast, opening and a lot cheaper. Well cheaper it was once ;)

Finished off the main display with the TSM McLaren F1 and the Otto Mercedes 190e Evo I. I did also purchase the Daytona Violet Otto E34 M5 sedan but prefer the wagon. Also took a ton of photos of the F40's for a review.
