AUTOart Lotus Esprit Turbo V8

Post by [KRAFTIG] » Sun Jul 27, 2014 1:47 pm

Another pic thread inspired by another member photos from today. Since I had these phtos on file I thought I would share... I bought this back in 2010 for $60. The good old days of AUTOart, and an exceptional car look wise from Lotus!

Fell in love with it when I watched the Bond movie where it had skis and studded tires.

I remember falling in love with that car when it first appeared on the market. I love the body, but hate the 70's/80's DOT mandated bumper design. Reminds me of what it forced British Leyland to do with the MGB.

Quick correction, KRAFTIG...this isn't the V8. That was the later car. This is the Turbo S2, powered by an I4.

Here are some more pics of the 007 car. Love the blocky wedge styling on these.
