GreenLight New Bullitt Ford Mustang

GreenLight Collectibles gives us a first look at their upcoming 1:18 1968 Steve McQueen Bullitt Ford Mustang.  The iconic man and car are a welcomed addition is scale.  The model features diecast metal exterior with opening parts.  Also this might mark the first time in DiecastSociety.com history that the models packaging is as cool as the model itself!

And on a side note GreenLight’s Indycar series grows by one, the 1:18 scale #1 Simon Pagenaud, Team Menards will be released later this year.

Hum, while a Bullitt Mustang (or any other Mustang) is always a welcome addition, this is not Greenlight’s first edition of this car, the previous one even included a figurine of Frank Bullitt. There was even another version before that without the figurine, so this one is not new, it’s just a re-edition with a different packaging. How about having a Mustang similar to this one painted in another color and lettered tires? You know, just to shake things up?

No model maker has yet bettered the old AutoArt version (72813) of years ago, now discontinued. AutoArt used to offer the 1968 Mustang GT390 in red, gold or green, also sadly long discontinued.
