Kyosho Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV – Red

From Kyosho comes a 1:18, resin, Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV in Red with Red interior.  This piece will only be available to Asian and US markets with a limited production of 500 pieces in total.  Jeez this brand pales in comparison where they were once upon a time with brilliant diecast models with fully opening bits.  If interested this Lamborghini will be on sale this March.  Retail is suggested at $174US.

I fully agree: I have got the white diecast Kyosho Countach, fully opening. Why can´t they just reactivate the old moulds? And they´re not the only ones to offer closed-body designs of long-famliar shapes. As always, the answer is: let it rot on the shelves to make them understand.

This model is made by GT SPIRIT When they offer it in one color and Kyosho offer it in other color

Exactly! If we don’t buy they don’t sell, they’ll stop producing them. Are they reading this at all?

I would like to buy a countach diecast model as a gift to a friend that is very much into this, but know NOTHING about them. I believe he is interested in mid-late 80s lp 5000 qv.

What brands do you recommend? How to know if I’m buying from the correct time-period the models were made so I am getting their best options?

      Any help is much appreciated!

      Matt

Probably focusing on the RC Division. Maybe (new) management has changed the overall focus of the company ?

And they shape of the roof is completely wrong again- feel free to compar the angle of the top section: the Gt Spirit/Kyosho looks like it rolled over

probably going to hit bargain bin soon with the asking price…
like what others said why cant they just redo their old fully working countach release them in some wild colour scheme and people will be lining up to buy them even if they have to jack up the price

The reason they don’t rerelease old models is because everyone wants a collectors item. Everything now has to be limited edition. Company don’t make things so everyone can enjoy them, you have to have tons of money and buy everything right away or you never get to own it. Then the people who do have the limited items can sell an $80.00 model for $500.00 on ebay, because it’s Limited Edition. I’m getting very tired of this concept. Make enough models so anyone can enjoy them.
