Schuco 2015 Newsletter

Dear SCHUCO fans,

The year marks the 66th anniversary of the  world’s leading toy fair in Nuremberg with exhibitors from around the world showing off their new releases for 2015. The unveiling of the lovingly crafted models is a particular highlight in the calendar and looked forward to with great enthusiasm by toy fans and model collectors alike.

Besides the current diverse and attractive range of models, visitors to the SCHUCO stand will be able to marvel at two original vehicle replicas, the VW T1 “Nürnberger Nachrichten” and the BMW R 100 RS.

Another highlight at this year’s show is the new “POP ART EDITION I”, in which SCHUCO will present arguably the most daring versions of its classic tin model “Studio I” to date. Drawing on the Pop Art style of the 1960s, the models are a real eye-catcher due to their bright and extremely colourful designs. Each SCHUCO Pop Art series come in four different colour schemes and very limited editions. The Pop Art collection includes an elegant model display case and an art print of the Pop Art vehicles limited to just 500 copies. The “POP ART EDITION I” will be available in pink and orange in 2015 and in green and blue in 2016.

Collectors of the legendary Piccolo models are truly in for a treat this year. In addition to six new models, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the Ferrari 250 Le Mans, the Morgan +8, Haflinger, the VW Beach Buggy and the Opel Kadett, fans can look forward to interesting new colour schemes and combinations. Following on from the well received initial Piccolo collector’s catalogue last year, the second edition will include all the new generation Piccolos, including the 2014 versions. The hardcover edition comes in a set together with a VW Beach Buggy.

The SCHUCO Edition 1:64, which was launched in 2014, is proud to present six interesting new creations, like the classic Mini Cooper, the BMW Isetta, the super sports car Porsche 918 Spyder and the Lamborghini Huracan. Due to their exquisite attention to detail, the die-cast models of the Edition 1:64 are a cut above the rest and offer young collectors the perfect introduction to the fascinating world of model cars.

The new product group “Aviation”, which was also introduced last year, will thrill collectors everywhere by expanding the already extensive range with a number of new releases, including the new Lufthansa Airbus A 350-900, additional 1:250 scale Concorde versions and the Airbus A340-600.

There will also be two brand new 1:32 scale models in SCHUCO’s popular agricultural range. The Hanomag Robust 900 and the legendary Haflinger from Steyr-Puch will be valuable and essential additions to the collections of agricultural model enthusiasts.

Many new historical and contemporary models will be presented in the Edition 1:43. Interesting vehicle combinations, such as the Mercedes-Benz 170V loaded with two Brütsch Mopettas, the Borgward B2500 “Messerschmitt Service” with a Messerschmitt Cabin Scooter or the Mercedes-Benz L6600 “Karosseriewerk Baur” transporting a BMW 502 car body, ensure a variety of models to choose from.

SCHUCO will again set new and distinct trends in the model collecting world with its large and popular 1:18 scale. A total of six completely new models will be presented in this product line in Nuremberg alone. The models, like the Porsche 911 S (1973), the 911 S Targa from the same year, the VW T3 Club Joker, the VW T3 Bus and the brand new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS as a coupe and convertible version, are sure to become firm favourites with many collectors.

The legendary MAN “Porsche” racing transporter boasts a shiny resin finish and is limited to just 2,000 models each for the scale sizes 1:43 and 1:18. Further resin replica highlights include the Auwärter “Porsche Renndienst” bus, the luxury motorhome Hymer 900 and the extremely interesting TESLA electric car on a scale of 1:43. The 1:18 scale will see the reproduction of exotic original vehicles, such as the VW Beetle Jolly, the Goggomobil coupe and the Hymermobil 581 BS.

We believe we have again created a wonderful selection of interesting new SCHUCO models and wish you lots of fun exploring the SCHUCO new releases 2015. Further information can be found in the respective sections.
