Re: Do you keep the boxes?
As a follow up to this, I retired in 2020, and have started downsizing my 1,000+ 1/18 scale diecast collection. Having all the boxes has been invaluable in selling and shipping.

Re: Why would Maisto do this?
Just a quick internet search, and I found the model on Amazon. Interesting that the promo picture shows the doors functional. https://www.amazon.com/Maisto-Assembly-Chevrolet-Corvette-Stingray/dp/B09TN6XCYP https://m.media-amazon.com/images/W/MEDIAX_849526-T2/images/I/61L+Eq2ueFL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Re: ACME Kowalski Challenger Wheel Swap
Great job! If I'm honest, I like the other wheels better. I'm a road racer at heart, and vintage at that. Not really into the retro/street tuner vibe. Planning to put some racing livery on it. Sorry, so we're aligned its the image of the last two wheels I prefer. Ah, as well as being inept at inter...

Re: Question regarding numbers of limited editions Hot Wheels Elite
Was it Kevin on his Scale18 board?
If so, even though he kept the website up for the four or five “regulars”, the “big list” went the way of the Dodo bird.

Re: Question regarding numbers of limited editions Hot Wheels Elite
If the box gives a maximum number, I think you can be pretty assured that's how many they made.
If there's no specific number, especially for a model made that long ago, not sure if there's any source, other than the manufacturer, and even that might be a shot in the dark.

Re: ACME 1965 Shelby GT350R – Gulf Racing Tribute
Now, don't get me wrong, there's doing a fantasy model, and then trying to leverage two iconic themes into additional income with very little expense. "Oh, Wow! Another Gulf livery, I need that to add to my Gulf Camaro and Gulf Mustang racers (neither of which existed in real life)." "Oh, Wow! Anoth...

Re: Thank you RepliCarz!
I have recently created a relationship with Replicarz. I retired in April 2020, and need to reduce my rather substantial 1/18 scale diecast collection. I tried eBay, but the hassle of dealing with each individual buyer, packing one or maybe two models at a time, and awaiting the inevitable complaint...

WANTED: 1/18 scale Porsche 935, First Generation, Rear Engine Cover and Wing
I'm thinking about a custom model, and need a Porsche 935 (think Exoto first generation) rear engine cover and rear wing. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53466283235_9d7738edf3_b.jpg rear wing by Jim Forte , on Flickr Or looking for a referral to a resin-casting or 3D printing source. Re: GMP Lola T70 Spyder - Minor Modification
Looks like a star trek spaceship. Very cool. I would have touched up those defects before paint though Thanks, it was a fun project. Actually wasn't expecting it to go as far as it did. Was just fooling around to see if the T332 scoop might match up. Not going into my displayed collection, the dono...

Re: GMP Lola T70 Spyder - Minor Modification
So, I got my good buddy and premier resin-caster Mike Kotwick (@Swede70 on many diecast boards) to help me out. Initially all I needed was a replacement for the Boraxo, but while we were talking, I went ahead an sent him a sample of each one of the three types that CC used. Mike is a magician when i...
