They are indeed awful! The whole interior is pretty bad. Maybe I will at some point modify it, but I think I just wait for a better model in the end ;)
Hopefully, Kyosho figures out a way to re-release some classics Ferraris! :fingercrossed:

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (De Tomaso Pantera GT5)

Yesterday this came in. It doesn't get more 80's and cooler than a white Testarossa. I still had a red Bburago Testarossa in the collection and it was on the list to get replaced if something better came along. It is nearly impossible to get a decent white Hotwheels Elite or Kyosho for reasonable mo...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

What price is the LCD Huayra? Instead of a price I see "consult now" Sorry? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50637179033_8a1eee6883_h.jpg Screenshot 2020-11-23 at 8.57.06 AM by Cobra King , on Flickr I think i used the wrong website. CK modelcars had them in stock some weeks ago for 209 euro IIR...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I hope it's great! I can't agree more. I so hope it is great. Competition in this market can only be a good thing! LCD are great models for the price. See my unbiased review of the Pagani Huyara Roadster on this site. I just read it, good review! Looks indeed great, not up to AA level I t...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I really, really like to read what you think of the LCD Mclaren. Lots of biased opinions going round about LCD models, mostly because of the fact it's metal vs AA composite. Your review will no doubt be honest!

Re: AutoArt Alternative?

I might just buy the AutoArt P1 then. I love that you can remove the engine bay cover. It's amazing the little intricacies it has, like the linear actuators in the frunk and the charging ports. The engine is the weakest point of the model, but that has nothing to do with the choice between metal or...

Re: AutoArt Alternative?

AUTOart composite isn't horrible, and most supercars are close to composite than metal ;) Exactly!! I still don't get it why people call metal models better quality. What people call 'die-cast' is actually a material called Zamak, which is a Zinc alloy (die-casting is a way to fill the mold under h...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

Easier said then done when using a Mac, most sites are now able to process my photos when i reduce the size below 150 Kbs which is easier than messing around with most photo editing programs I’ve seen. There are free online editors to resize images and then find a host site to store and share your ...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (De Tomaso Pantera GT5)

Forgot about that one. :shame: That explains some of the more dated area's of the model. But also the extended fenders are not flush everywhere and those parts are new castings I'm sure.

Let see what you think of it when yours arrives ;)

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Porsche 964 3.8 RS)

Speaking about hot ;) Today the Kyosho Pantera GT5 finally arrived after having it pre ordered I guess a year ago. I love this car! The model itself is a bit, well not bad, but was expecting more finesse. The latest Kyosho's I bought were re-releases, so with those I knew they were going to be a bit...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Porsche 964 3.8 RS)

I know :wall:

I also know if they would make some special 964's, 930's etc, they would sell like hot cakes.

Re: Random Model Pic of the Day!

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50482402366_b7ab21ad9c_h.jpg Very nice! Makes me melancholic. I used to have an AE86 (only Corolla Levin, not the Sprinter Trueno), also with a 20V blacktop (imported from Japan out of a AE111 Corolla Levin). Best driving car I ever had by miles! They had one pro...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Porsche 964 3.8 RS)

Yes, solid effort but it does have some drawbacks... AUTOart needs to complete the 964 variants! It is about time that a brand like AA (of for my part Almost Real) produces some of these 911's. Indeed for the price the Solido is solid, but if AA would make it, the Solido wouldn't be long on display...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (McLaren 720S)

While picking up the 720S at the store, the store owner showed me some new models that came in, like we always do. One that particular interested me was the Solido Porsche 964 3.8 RS. It's in my opinion, maybe the best 911 ever made. If you normally buy brands like AA of Kyosho, the Solido is for sa...
