The Most Organized and Amazing Collection

Dennis Erickson passed away back in 2016 and left his entire estate to his church. Meticulously displayed in Dennis's house and two garages are more than 30,000 cars, including a full size Model T Ford, a ‘59 Edsel and a ’66 Rambler. He was always single, no next of kin at all, and had over 30,000 ...

Photo Sets

I've built these little photo sets that you can use 4 X 6 pictures of your own, or post cards, or even the right size pictures from magazines as backgrounds. One side is sprayed with gray primer spray paint to simulate pavement and the other coted with scale gravel for the HO train layouts to simul...

Re: Photographing inexpensive way

I have tried some outdoor photographing but not real good at it yet. 1/24th scale https://hosting.photobucket.com/albums/f204/Diecastfun/Large%20scale%20model%20cars/Blue%20Stang/.highres/Super%20Stang%20i_zpsx0mm7tia.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=bounds https://hosting.photobucket.com/albums/f204/...

Photographing inexpensive way

I'm not sure when it was I really got into photographing my cars, but I have tried several ways. I do know it does not take a bunch of expensive and hard to understand equipment. I ran across a man, Michael Paul Smith that did the most fantastic and detailed photos I have seen to date. https://www.n...

Re: Photobucket takes photo's hostage

I also have had my ups and downs with photobucket. I was down for almost 3 full years with them wanting me to upgrade and upgrade. I finally gave in and now it's costing me $9.99 a month for the first 6 months. There is no way to contact anyone about any problems you may have and even deleting photo...

Re: Protecting Your investment: RacingModels.com Cleaning Kit

I guess I must say, after what I have invested in over 13,000 cars and trucks, I discovered ways of cleaning all scales from 1/64th, 1/24th, 1/32nd, 1/43 and 1/18th. I have used standard window cleaner, Mothers real car wax, soft tooth brushes, cut soft sponges to size, Q~tips, and even cut sponges ...

Still going strong in the Muscle Garage

Strip cars, Street cars, Stock cars, Show cars, Stripped cars and even a bike or two, we do them all here at the Muscle garage... I have spent close to 15 years building this garage diorama. My hobby consists of both diecast and plastic model kits, and including 1/64th diecast cars I have been colle...

Re: UNDER-APPRECIATED Models you MUST have...

I'm more hooked on the American Muscle scale models. This 1/18th 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt was a "MUST HAVE" for me. It was scaled just as it came from the factory in the 1:1 versions. The detail on this car was and still is amazing to me. I've had it in my collection for over 10 years now and ...

Re: Why Isn’t 1:24 scale popular?

I always found 1/24th scale fun to collect and work with. I like how easy diorama stuff is to find as well as being able to use about 1/24th scale plastic kit parts to modify the diecast cars. Johnny Lighting used to release some fine quality and detailed muscle cars... http://i48.photobucket.com/al...
