Re: A Hungarian's 1/18 Collection
I have some downtime on my hands between exams and my dissertation, so I decided to take pictures of my second model car, the Pagani Huayra made by GT Autos. https://i.imgur.com/vwNJq86.jpg https://i.imgur.com/slUYDeO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/g5Guc9f.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OvGLIxV.jpg https://i.imgu...

Re: A Hungarian's 1/18 Collection
Even though I have only bought one of their models, I'm sure I will be a regular Norev customer. I fell in love with this GT R & if their other models are similar quality, I cannot go wrong with them.

A Hungarian's 1/18 Collection
Hi everyone, I am a Hungarian procurement professional working in the UK. I have recently picked up collecting scale models as a hobby. I 'only' have 2 cars as of this moment, but rest assured, this number will grow quick. In this topic, I'd like to showcase my 1/18 collection. Please note that I am...

Re: Pagani Huayra 1/18 by GT Autos
Thanks a lot. :okay: One question that I have to ask is, do you guys think it would be worth displaying the car with the doors up? Can the mechanism become 'fatigued' over a long time and not work properly after that? My personal beliefs, yes, it will fatigue the related hardware over time. I do no...

Pagani Huayra 1/18 by GT Autos
Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a Pagani Huayra 1/18 from GT Autos, in the Pearlescent White color with gold rims. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you my opinion about the car, however please know that this is only my second ever diecast purchase, therefore I might be wrong in e...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Temptation got the better of me and ended up buying this beauty..
I read a couple of reviews and many of them say it has incredible value for around £40.

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
Just recently joined the world of diecast collectors. I have purchased these 2 babies over the last 2 weeks. Already got the Norev delivered, and apart from the doors that could sit about 0,5mm higher it is a perfect model for me. https://www.norev.com/2616/mercedes-amg-gt-r-2018-red.jpg https://www...

Re: Diecast, Composite, Zamak, Resin... I'm confused
My advice, but what YOU like. What level of detail satisfies you? This might differ by category - example your love supercars and the odd classic. May the supercar require the best example and the classics not so much. Use others and this website as a tool to educate you on your buying decisions. A...

Re: Diecast, Composite, Zamak, Resin... I'm confused
I know this is all subjective, but which material type do people seem to prefer? Also, are sealed models looked at 'inferior' to those that have openings? It seems diecast metal is still the material of choice. However, there are fewer and fewer releases each year. Brands continue the tradition of ...

Re: Diecast, Composite, Zamak, Resin... I'm confused
Thanks guys for the explanations.
Are any of the materials superior than others? For example if I'm not mistaken, I've read people say resin models are sealed. What does that mean?

Diecast, Composite, Zamak, Resin... I'm confused
Hi guys, I am a big newbie, having just purchased 2 1/18 cars over the last week. I have been trying to inform myself by doing a lot of reading on the matter, however my head is fried now and I still don't understand what all the different materials are. Basically, there are 4 materials in scale mod...
