Re: Coming soon....my new AUTOart model...
Sorry for the delay; here we go... Another fine Porsche racing car 1:18 scale model by AUTOart Signature series, this is the 1970/71 Porsche 908/03 in Martini colors as raced by Dutch driver Guis van Lennep and Austrian Helmut Marko. Just as with the 908/03 in Gulf colors, I wasn't interested in thi...

How about some 1:1 Porsche 956 pics?
Was at the Sonoma Historics today, and was just about to bug out for the day when I saw this: the incomparable and indominatable Porsche 956! 'Course I had to get some shots of it at race pace! :D One of the team mechanics told me that this is possibly the only race-worthy 956 currently being driven...

Re: 1954 Porsche 550-1500 Carrera Panamerica
my untrained eye can't see the difference, but it looks good It's pretty subtle; it's a smoother, less textured look to the silver in the paint. I'm just trying stuff. You can see the difference on my 27" Retina iMac display at 218 ppi resolution, but it's likely hard to discern when downsampled fo...

Re: 1954 Porsche 550-1500 Carrera Panamerica
Another take on this lovely model. I used a Clean preset in Topaz Fusion Express to give the car a smoother, crisper look, and I very much like the soft quality of light in this shot.

Re: 1954 Porsche 550-1500 Carrera Panamerica
I gave this image a collodion-style effect in post, which, in addition to the vignetting creates a bit of a dreamlike quality for this vintage Porsche.

1954 Porsche 550-1500 Carrera Panamerica
Haven't posted here in a while as I haven't bought a new model in quite a while, but thought you'd like to see my latest acquisition, a sweet little 1954 Porsche 550-1500 Carrera Panamerica. I saw this model some months ago, and finally purchased it yesterday. It's reasonably priced at $149, but has...

Re: Spark Porsche 918 Spyder Martini Weissach Package - new
These are terrific models, David. I think I will pick up the Spark one. I do like their resin cast models, they are quite detailed and accurately scaled. I have the two 2011 Flying Lizard Porsche 997 GT3 RSR models, and they are very nice. I have been waiting for the Spark LeMans prototype, but it s...

Re: AutoArt Porsche 908/03
Excellent shot X2 - What a beautiful specimen! It really is a very nice model, and especially for $149, a real value. As Gavin and I have mentioned, seeing it in an online catalog doesn't do justice to just how pretty this model is. It's just gorgeous when you see the real thing. The retailer that ...

Re: AutoArt Porsche 908/03
Just read some interesting facts about the 908/3. The body only weighed 12kg!!! Crazy. The car made 360 hp, but only had to push 1.56 kg/hp, so it had a ridiculous power-weight ratio. While the cantankerous 917 saw victories in Le Mans in 1971, the 908/3 was campaigned successfully by privateers for...

Re: AutoArt Porsche 908/03
great add. I have the Martini #4 car. I didn't like the model all that much until I actually bought one (price was too good to pass up)....its a very cool looking car in person. I fully agree. I had seen this model online, and wasn't particularly interested until I saw one for real; then I had to h...
