wow...that looks really good. I've never heard to Mission Models either.

I 2nd your Mk III Jetta VR6, Florin...I had a '97 in black on tan.
To be honest I would even buy the Jessee Fast'N'Furious MkIII if it became available in diecast with opening features :rotfl:

Volkswagen Jetta GT (MkII) - Mission Models

My first VW was a Mk2 Golf with a dead clutch, bought for $500. That was back in 1999. I am still a big fan of the Wolfsburg brand and their subsidiaries. At one pint I did have a MkII Jetta diesel (52HP non-turbo) and that car was like a faithful dog taking anything I threw at it. I had no idea tha...

1970 Range Rover Lincoln Green - Almost Real

A few short months ago I had no idea who Almost Real was. A relative new kid on the diecast block, Chinese company fully licensed by the manufacturers. I don't think they are strangers to building diecast models, it looks like they manufacture for Kyosho and others. I have to say I am impressed with...

Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 X222 Diamond White - Almost Real

I am a big fan of Mercedes. It is the most predominant make in my collection, my hobby classic cars wear the 3 pointed star and I was missing a W222 S-Klasse. Going back to October 2019 and my trip to Germany, I did get to visit the Sindelfingen Mercedes plant and one of the stops of the factory tou...

Re: Norev New Releases 1:18 & 1:43 September 2021

Is it just me, or the E30 looks sealed? Gavin if you are looking for a Pagoda I wholeheartedly recommend the Schuco version, you won't be disappointed. It is sealed. Norev as explains is a mix of each. The article will usually show the full access models in the open position while sealed are closed...

Re: Norev New Releases 1:18 & 1:43 September 2021

many of Norev's latest releases are sealed....289 Cobra, BMW 507, C3 Corvette. I have seen the Schuco version & it does indeed look very good. Thanks, Florin...great to see you around again! Thanks Gavin, I remember following your reviews "back in the day", we have very similar interests. BTW I pos...

1957 Mercedes Benz 300SL Roadster (W198) - Minichamps

Hi all. This is a story that started off as not so positive but it ended up on a happy note. For any classic car enthusiast the W198 300SL is simply a legend, needing no introduction. Better known for its coupe versions (the famous Gull-wing Mercedes), the evolution of this model was very interestin...

Yellow/black Bugatti Chiron

Earlier this year got my hands on a Molsheim Yellow/Nocturne Black Chiron to go with my similarly colored Veyron Concept. It is my first Autoart composite model and other than the model weight, my only other complaint is that the shut lines could have been tighter and what I'm sure started as a grea...

1968 Mercedes Benz 280SL Pagoda W113 - Schuco

Hi all. Before I stopped buying models in 2015, a Schuco release of a car I wanted was music to my ears. Receiving a Schuco model made me feel like a kid on the Christmas morning. I love to see them still in the game and staying with full featured diecast models, rather than resin/composite/etc. As ...

Not realy new, but back in the hobby

Hey all, some of the old timers here may remember me from years ago. Long story short, I joined this forum fairly early on, but took a 6 year hiatus from the hobby and there were good reasons for that. Two that are worth mentioning: one was career related and the other not so much; I got into the cl...

Re: ** Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Diecast GTG! **

Sorry for the delay, here I am! I am definitely in. I agree with a restaurant or pub, we can have some lunch/dinner/finger food, beverages and we can sit down and discuss/enjoy the company. Also, if we decide to go further I can drive whoever comes by TTC. I am relatively close to Kipling stn. As fo...
