Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
That Beetle is a very very nice model. If you already haven't, consider buying the T1 samba bus as well. It's even better!

Re: Sun Star Subaru BRZ
I have never ever seen a model being release at the moment they said it would. Patience is everything in this hobby.

Re: KK-scale Jaguar E-Type
I haven't seen the KK-scale in the flesh yet (probably next week, when I pick up my new AA arrivals at the shop I will have a look), but based on pictures it is in the same league as all there models. Decent, but not more than decent. Also the wheels on the KK-scale look rather small, too small I th...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Mercedes 280 SL)
Bought this model a while ago, but hadn't taken photo's of it yet. Apart from older Porsche's my collection is lacking classic German cars, so to fill in some gaps I ordered this Norev BMW 507. It's a rare, but beautiful car. Norev did a nice job on this model. It is unfortunately sealed, but apart ...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Mercedes 280 SL)
I have the silver but the green looks great too. Weird you don’t mention as a negative the gaps around the hood that are huge. Bothers me much more than the lack of flocked interior. Well I guess it is all a matter of what to expect vs what you get. If you look at other Schuco models, panel gaps ha...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR)
Time for the next purchase. I pre-ordered the Schuco Mercedes 280 SL a long time ago, and it finally arrived. Nice model, with a colour combo which is hard to beat. Typical Schuco, full opening and functioning die-cast with plenty of details. Only negative is the lack of interior flocking, and altho...

Nice Modifications! Exactly what is missing from the original AA.

Re: Collection 1:18
Both are nice models! And it is hard to beat those Schuco Porsche's in terms of what you get for your money.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR)
This engine is begging for mods. At some point probably will give it a go, but I have so much models I want to (and will) modify that is has to wait in line.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Lancia Delta Integrale EVO)
The next new model in the collection wasn't planned. The Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR made by AUTOart was on my list, but more or less waiting for a discount somewhere. Well last week CK dropped the price on this model about 65%, making it a lot easier to buy one. I wouldn't be able to justify the normal 21...

Re: Adding extra Shelves to Detolf, but what kind?
I added perspex (PMMA/plexiglass) shelfs, works good. They bent a little when heavy models are on them, but it's oke for me. Glass adds a lot of weight indeed and on the detolfs it all 'hangs' on the top wooden part, which is resting on the glass side and rear panels. I didn't take any chances and o...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I mean things like shutlines, how engine parts are molded, hinges etc. The other Kyosho's (both Miura's, but especially the lp400s) are better and more like recent developed models, it all fits a little better. The Lancia is more dated in those areas I think. Fitment of the rear doors for instance, ...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase
I like it very much. Lots of things to open and see. Must also say, that from the recent Kyosho's I added, the Lancia has 'aged' the most.
