Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I just ordered the CMC 901 last week from my usual store here and got the email just this morning that it will be arriving early next week. It's only 70 euro more here in holland than the sealed Spark (both new!). It will be my first CMC, but i have a feeling, after reading Kraftigs review of it, th...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

Finally decided to add this one. Must say, its better than some other GT spirit releases lately. Color is very nice and paint is flawless. Also no other QC issues.

Re: So depressing...

Compairing an new Autoart with one form 15 years ago, is compairing bananas with apples, not only in price, also in refinement. Same for Kyosho. Just look at panel gaps etc. I tend to disagree, not in all cases is the refinement and quality the same as it was in the past with the "diecast" brands. ...

Re: So depressing...

So true. I was debating the merits of the new Almost Real release with someone online today. His response, "engine is boring" and "I already enjoyed my Bentley GT3-R for a year". Meaning he bought the sealed version that was offered. This hobby was founded on representing the 1:1 in scale as best a...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I know most people here are into road cars, but I like everything on 4 wheels, so I sometimes buy race car models. Like this Matra, which I bought last week. Nice model from Spark, nice and crisp details all over. I like it. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4531/26721170159_73cae93c0f_b.jpg And for th...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I'm very happy, because today i found these, and got to buy them for good money :D All new in sealed boxes. Only the F40 has some small paint rash, but given the price and how hard to find, i can live with it quite easily. But my dear god, it took me nearly an hour to get the F40 unboxed and opened....

Re: Saltwater and Your Collection?

I don't think salt water near your collection is going to be a problem. I live right next to the northsea coastline, next to one of the biggest harbors in the world in one of the biggest river delta's there are. Wind is almost always coming from sea, I always have the doors of the house open (have t...

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

I had my doubts for a long, long time about this model, but eventually bought it. Not for full price, because a sealed F40 for 330 euro's is a but to much I think. For what I payed for i'm happy with it. Detail is very nice, shape and stance is superb. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4351/36601932966...

Re: The cheap end of the hobby

And don't forget that burago was the first diecast for the most of us and that's how we catch the virus. Respect Exactly the reason i still own a lot of old bburago and maisto. It all started with these models 25-30 years ago. It's the same as with old cars. We considder a 250 GTO the best of the b...

Yes, schuco. Think the smalest model in my collection, but might be the heaviest. :P

Re: Post Your Latest DIECAST Purchase

Got this for half the normal price and i'm very happy with it. Very nice model, from the good old die-cast days, solid and heavy as a brick. Searching for a silver or blue one, however many of them are with defects which can be seen on pictures - mostly too huge body gap between rear boned and body...
