Looking good. Happy with it?
Yes I am. It didn't give me the same excitement as the Centenario or Huayra BC, but still a highly recommended model.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Caterham Super Seven)

Just came in. Happy to report the carbon fiber is nice and shiny and on par with the Centenario. Apart from that, I got the impression that the rest is identical to the first release. So the same wheels, which are a bit disappointing. But, overall it's good. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50112...

Re: New wheels for Norev Porsche 930

Thanks for the feedback guys! The rear will be raised a bit, so the gap between the tyre and arch will be the same as the front. The diameter of these tyres is exactly the same as the real car (if you do it x 18 of course). The front will get less camber, it's quite extreme now when looking straight...

Re: New wheels for Norev Porsche 930

Got the wheels off and received the new wheels form Uli Nowak. It is not the easiest fit, but we will get there. The original wheels are very narrow and the suspension very high in order to fit the original balloon tyres. So I had to do some modification to the suspension and did a first fit. What d...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Alfa GTA Junior)

The next addition to the collection is also a step back in time. When Kyosho still made real models that is. Although they look to be back producing real models again, the last couple of years was the same as Minichamps. Not good. The model I added is the Caterham Super Seven. The models was complet...

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Viper SRT-10)

Bought this Alfa GTA Junior recently. Walked into it, still in its sealed box. From times when Minichamps made real models, instead of sealed bricks. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50050668862_7826a0d7a4_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50049845598_de23ce3352_k.jpg https://live.staticf...

Really, LOL. Some people are very uneducated in the hobby!
Those people are not seeing this as a hobby. They don't do things out of passion, but out of greed. They just want to make some easy money and people without patience are falling for it unfortunately :shame:

Re: CMR Models - Need some advice please

I don't own CMR models, but I have had the same questions a year ago as you have. I went to my favourite local shop to look at some of their models, so I have seen some in the flesh. And honestly, wasn't very impressed. The Porsche 917 looks to be the exact same model that Norev had for years (same ...

Re: Quality is constant disapointment. How do you deal with it?

To be honest, I really wonder which brand(s) you have those QC issues with and where you are ordering them from, are they new or ebay purchases? You mention AA, but I have spend litteraly thousands of euro's on AA the last couple of years, and had one issue. That was on an older model, where some pa...
