Re: Display cases
I always wondered what happened to Bertby? They looked amazing and kept the dust away. I am still trying to get some as they regularly come up on ebay, but shipping is a pain due to its glass parts.

Re: ** CONTEST: My last HOLY GRAIL, what is YOURS? **
Happy coincidence or not, my holy grail has also been the Countach. But in 1:43 form, made by MR Models for Kyosho. A wonderful piece of scale model art with a full set of opening parts. Of course, it was discontinued before I managed to get my hands on it. I kept chasing it on ebay, but it proved h...

Hardly the model badly missing from their lineup. A new Espada would be a more welcome addition.

Re: Removing superglue residue from painted bodywork??
I have the same issues with a few 1:43 resin models. Glue residues in the shape of white stains. I tried to wipe them off with a wet cotton bud and succeeded partially. I should probably use dish washing soap as well but I am worried it might attack the paint or the polish. Are you sure it's safe?

I actually get a weird Miura vibe looking at its side view.

Re: 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Revealed In Scale Model Form?
Assuming it's a Minichamps or a Spark, it seems too detailed for a 1:43 model. Especially the headlights and the LED DRLs.

400. Amazing milestone for a 1/18 collection. Congrats! It is inspiring to see people so dedicated to their passion. Looking forward to 500 and, of course, 1000!

Re: Peako VS Autoart VS 1:1 McLaren Mp4-12C
In the end, BEAUTY is in the eye of the beholder! The resin versus die-cast debate is similar to the BMW versus Mercedes or Pepsi versus Coca-Cola wars... Each side will always have its fair share of fans and detractors.

Re: Peako VS Autoart VS 1:1 McLaren Mp4-12C
Indeed, resin models are often overrated in therms of fit and finish. But the biggest drawback for me remains the lack of opening parts. Maybe I'm old school, but I love the complexity of a well tailored 1:18 model with opening mechanisms and separate parts.
