Re: BMW Art Cars

Thanks guys . I was surprised at the wide discrepancy on the price for the same model - not so much that some are bringing a lot more than others based on what they are or who the artist was . It does seem there are more to be found overseas and at better prices than in the States or Canada .

BMW Art Cars

Hi Guys , I've gone on the hunt for a few of my favorite Art Cars and more than any other models I've looked for see a huge range on what they are priced at . I have a sense of the ones that are so far off the charts that they are likely to never be sold , but wondered if there was any sort of rule ...

Re: Exoto parts ?

Hi , Thank you for the offer - I guess I'm glad I heard from you before you went to all that trouble - I'm re-thinking the purchase in favor of one that is complete with the tools and stand . Sometimes saving a hundred or two while significant turns out to be not what it first appears - think I'll p...

Re: Exoto parts ?

Hi - thanks - that is a great idea . Neither of these parts is a deal killer given the price of the models , but I'd like the ability to remove a wheel if I felt like displaying one off . If you don't mind could you check if the T prop is metal or plastic ? Thanks, Bryan

Re: Exoto parts ?

^ Thanks . I keep an eye on e-bay - don't think I've ever seen any of these things for sale before . Exoto has always been so hard to deal with even when buying models that I doubt he'd even answer an inquiry on parts . I guess I could try with low expectations !

Exoto parts ?

Hi Guys , I'm on the verge of purchasing a used ( mint ) Exoto 917/30 with extra chassis and the model doesn't have the wheel nut tool ( I think the First Heat ones come with 2 ) or the ''T'' stand to prop the rear bodywork open . From what I've heard it probably isn't worth trying to get these thin...

Re: Bentley Speed 8 - best model ?

Thanks - both look nice in pics and both are sealed . Might just come down to the quality of paint / graphics . Prices seem about the same too . Thought one would look nice displayed with the Minichamps Blower Bentley .

Bentley Speed 8 - best model ?

Hi Guys , Looking to purchase a 2003 Bentley Speed 8 LM winner and wondered how the Autoart and TSM versions stack up against one another ? Has anyone had the 2 side by side to compare detail , paint and graphics quality ? Thanks, Bryan

WTB: Minichamps + Almost Real

Hi Guys , I collect Porsche models almost exclusively , but there are a handful of 1/18 models I'd like to add to my collection ; from Minichamps - the Blower Bentley #8 and the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO ; from Almost Real the Camel Trophy 110 . If you have any you'd like to part with or know of some...
