You are right. They look more like nets than a solid cover piece.

That will look great alongside Tomica Limited Vintage's 1:64 versions although they never made a black version nor a roadster (yet).

If you could do a stop-motion or just make the hand 'disappear' it will give a better impression of a real vehicle.

Personally, a model that roles nicely gives much gratification.

An interesting concept nonetheless.
