The Grand Tour: Season 2!

Post by [KRAFTIG] » Sat Dec 09, 2017 5:46 pm

Anyone watch the first episode? I watched it last night, very entertaining. Nice cars and good laughs all around. Someone needs to to the Rimac in 1:18 scale with opening bits! :okay:

Amazon Video if you have Amazon Prime.

I thought the first episode was very good, glad they got rid of a few segments from the first season but it still feels very much like Top Ge... I mean Grand Tour. But really, now that they have celebrities competing around a track for the best time, it's very much just Top Gear again.

Same excellent photography, cars and humor you would expect from the show. Looking forward to watching episode 2 later tonight!

Thanks, I actually DL the 1st episode then seeing your post I realized that one week ago Amazon enrolled me to Prime against my will (just cancelled it 5 min later) but I still have access to Amazon video for free until the end of the month, LOL!!!

I liked the 1st episode but that 2nd one was pretty much Top Gear deja vu...

I enjoyed episode 2, it's definitely what you'd expect from a Top Gear/ Grand Tour "race". It was fun but as silly as expected. What the episode did do was convince me how great the Ford GT was, so I can't wait to see them throw it around a track in a later episode, as Clarkson promised.

Also that new driver is... interesting. I mean why didn't they properly introduce her? Trying to mimic the Stig, perhaps? I dunno, they should have given her more recognition than just her name in the closing credits.

Looking forward to another episode on Friday!

Third episode is somewhat of a yawner... The only bright spot was spending some intimidate moments with eh Bugatti Chiron. AUTOart hurry up and release this beauty! :wall:

Just watched episode 4. The Max 720S is just delicious! LOL at the worst car of the year, once again the Nissan Juke! Lastly the TTRS performed well, not that I was worried

Episode 4 was great, I definitely loved that Mclaren 720S, despite not really paying attention to it before. The headlights always threw the design off if you ask me, but I think it works. Not to mention the power of the car.

Also, it was a funny episode poking fun at the show being normally too scripted. The TT-RS is quite a nice car too!

It's alien-ish. A little over the top with the rest of the design of the car

Right. I think it's more over the top and less elegant, but it is a supercar after all. Shame too, I think the overall design of the rest of the car is gorgeous.

Question is, would painting the black hole around the front lights take care of the issue?
