So what's your take on the NHL strike?

Everything not diecast related; and yes that includes the kitchen sink!

But for the strike; who win ?

In think both parts loose a lot of money :wall:
There is definitely an element of monies that can never be recuperated by both parties. The short term, and maybe long term is the effect of the strike on the fans, will they come back, only time will tell. In the end I'm glad to have CBA for the next 10 years!

Yesterday I went to my first hockey game. It was great fun. Our local club competes in Junior league but since they are just unbeatable (20th victory in the row) next season they will be promoted to KHL which is European analogue for NHL. And later the same day NHL lockout is over. A good coincidence. Since now I will be following hockey with a big interest.

There is a lot of work to do in the US strike has not helped... Even though under his tender there the commissoner has endored three strikes, but the league as a whole has grown from 400 million to 4.3 billion that's no peanuts!

In Montreal we got a big advantage, because Scott Gomez is now out :okay:

I wouldn't say softer maybe tad bit more political. I just want to play hockey, and see my beloved Leafs win the cup before I pass. I already checked off the Blue Jays twice! :shame:

What about the Senators ?

Are you also fans of these club from Ottawa ?

I'm not sure that people around Montreal got interested in this club, it's not the same think for others canadians teams like the Maple Leafs, or the Oilers.

Is it a good club ? or they need some news goods players ?

No a huge fan but they do have a good mix of up and coming young blood. Exiting future for sure.

Montreal loose 2-1, I was not impressed by the CH performance.

They will need many others matchs to play like a real team together.

But in a short season like this one, there not time to loose :wall:

The short season may be advantageous to the Maple Leafs since they are prone to short winning streaks and good players getting injured. I hope the new GM will make some significant progress this season.
