I'm sure I'll never see one.
That's exactly what I said to myself right up until I saw this one.

Also at the same car show was my scale model collection in real life. One owner brought his nearly complete collection of Porsche RS models, from the 2.7 all the way up to the 997.2 GT2 RS, including the ultra rare 3.0 Carrera RS, SC RS and the 964, 993 and 996 variants which were never sold in the US somehow are registered and road legal.

wow...that's awesome.

The cars older than 25 are not a huge problem, the newer ones are probably brought in under the "show & display" law.

You are probably right, but in any case, I am happy to see them for the first time in person. You'll see that most of the cars have a Montana plate, which is a nice (kinda not legal) loophole to dodge sales tax when registering a car. The amount of cars "from" Montana in Connecticut is insane.

Right?! I could hardly believe my eyes! 8-)

Another picture, closer to the newer models down the line. (Can I really only post one picture at a time?)

yeah, we have quite a few here as well.

That 993 GT2 is fantastic. Cool plate, too.

Very nice. I saw some other pics of this event on IG. A green 997 GT3RS 4.0. :okay:

I must have missed that! I didn't see any 997 GT3 4.0, shame. There was, however, a new 991.2 GT3 RS in Lizard Green, which was a first for me to see.

Lizard Green looks good...definitely like the brighter greens like Lizard or Viper.

This is Linden Green, one of 39 PTS 4.0s. Wouldn't be my first choice, but it is a 4.0

Whoa, interesting color, thanks for sharing. Real shame I missed seeing that one, I knew I should have stayed all day. :nt:
