Glue recommendation for resin?
Glue recommendation for resin?
I recently got a TSM McLaren P1 GTR in the James Hunt livery. The end fences on the rear wing was loose on one side and completely detached on the other. Not a huge deal since the model was used and very cheap but perfect other than the wing. My question is what is the best glue to use for this application? Super glue makes me nervous because 1 slip up equals disaster but if that's the answer then I'll suck it up and give it a go.
Re: Glue recommendation for resin?
Use Cyanoacrylate Adhesives or CA glues. Tip, place a small drop on a scrap piece of paper. Use tooth floss brush to apply to specific area to minimize any chance of error. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll give it a go, and post pics of the result.

No problem. Looking forward to the results!8802gator wrote:Thanks! I'll give it a go, and post pics of the result.
Re: Glue recommendation for resin?
Cyanoacrylate *is* super glue. I would not recommend this on a model, especially on a part where the bond does not need to be especially strong. A wood glue will be far less risky and will hold lightweight parts perfectly well. A plastic toothpick will also work well for application, if you don't have one of those flossing tools to hand.
