Congratulations Marcel, you achieved an excellent result there. . . and righted a wrong! Why do some makers equip their products with either incorrect or the least-attractive option wheels? I recently bought a Welly 1:18 911 Carrera 2.7 RS, which I think is generally of reasonable quality and is good value at its price, but which lacked the bright finish Fuchs which I have always considered intrinsic to the car's iconic look. I too was wary about removing the original wheels, but got them off with patience and care, and I think the model is very much better on the wheel style I like, (from KK Scale).

Good job on the Norev 930, I've changed the wheel on all of my Norev's as well.

I'm currently working on a blue 930.

FYI, the front of the Norev Fuchs wheel just pops off exposing the axle clip. Just pinch the two parts and the wheel just comes off.

Great job! I have a couple of Norev Porsche 930 and two sets of KK-scale Fuchs wheels. Do you happen to have some more pics of the process? How are the rear wheels attached? Thanks in advance!

Hi Eric,

I see you did an amazing job on those 930 models!

I have the red 930 3.0 L one myself, do you say that if we just remove that black front "rose" from the wheels, like you did on your blue model, it works the same way for the red one (front and rear axles) ?

Did they use some glue or the black part is just attached?

I'm looking to achieve the same result on the red model, could you please let me know what is the brand of the new wheels you installed and where they can be purchased?

All the best :worthy:

I think they are KK Models Fuchs wheels on the red 3.0? You can buy them here, maybe cheaper somewhere else: https://www.fivediecast.com/product-292 ... &results=2

I got myself a pair of Norev 930 Turbos and two sets of KK Fuchs to give it a try. I have not customized many models before, so hopefully I can figure it all out.

Such a massive improvement. The Norev Turbos are really nice, but the tires are a joke (common issue on older Norevs).

I did this swap a long time ago, with help from Florin. I wish the KK scale wheels had been available then.

KK Models are the smart ones, maybe they saw a good money opportunity for all those people that want (need?) to fix their Norev models. Shame on Norev for not fixing the wheel/tire size themselves. And extra shame on Autoart for making me buy the Norev 930 in the first place. :nt:

Actually, this looks really good. What wheels and tires are these?

I am not certain the post above with the red 3.0 Turbo are KK wheels, they do look staggered (deeper/wider wheels in the back and narrow up front), whereas the KK ones appear to be the same size for all 4 wheels? I might be wrong, but when my KK wheels arrive I will find out I guess.

Also, side note. The Norev version of the 930 is still being produced, in fact a new 3.0 is out this month in a light green color. So, it may be that older Norev models had an issue with inaccurate tires, but they decided NOT to fix that issue on newer versions of the same models. That's a head scratcher. :shame:
