What exactly did you do to the seats in the Mercedes? It appears you filled in the stitching, but there aren't any pictures showing the finished interior. Did you smooth out all the stitching?MCWS wrote:Mercedes Benz W124 C320 from blue to grey. Different seats and towing hook.
Great work. I like the Jensen. Where did you source the vinyl for the roof? And the wheels look very good - takes a lot of time to model and print wheels. Interesting you incorporated the tires. It looks like cured resin.MCWS wrote:Jensen Interceptor from grey to black. From MK1 to MK2 , 3D printed wheels and vynil roof.
Fun! Reminds me of when I was photographing a 1:18 Shelby Cobra and the neighbor's cat came over to inspect.
Re: The Model Car Workshop
Forgot to take pics of the interior. The car had "stitching" in the lenght, oppositie to the model. Added that at a later stage. It should look like the Pullman interior in stead of leather.
It is vynil I got from Spotmodels in Spain. Works great!

Somewhere on this planet a Lucky guy owns this frosted grey Audi R8 V10 Spyder witht HRE P40 Performance Wheels.
Kyosho made the 1:18 diecast.
Besed on photo's we selected a colour.
Not too far off, isn't?
Rebuilding started.
Amost done!
Lower tyres, black air vents on the rear deck, badges and plates are added.

Looks great! I love the colour.
Re: The Model Car Workshop
That is totally awesome! How challenging is this technique?
Re: The Model Car Workshop
@kraftig, it is quite a of work and you need someone with professional equipment. Finding a company that could print my designs took ages and many tests.

Re: The Model Car Workshop
Real pioneering work Maarten, well done. Also the rims 3D printing technique.
Re: The Model Car Workshop
Impressive, though I'm not going to say I'm the biggest fan of the technique. To each their own I guess.
Re: The Model Car Workshop
Looking a the carbon Bugatti (coming soon) YES I AM A BIG FAN! Took more than a year to get to this stage.[KRAFTIG] wrote:Impressive, though I'm not going to say I'm the biggest fan of the technique. To each their own I guess.
But now something completely different:
What if someone asks for a 50% discount ?
