Autoart Datsun 240Z (Z432)
Arguably one of the best looking cars to ever come from Japan, although not as popular in ultra stock form with the early "bicycle" wheel look. As for bodykits I actually really like it without the big arches and low hanging front, we will soon be assaulted by the Devil Z and what I bet will be several "tuned" Z`s from Autoart anyway.
Stock model:
Insane amount of screws, and no need for it, I thought these guys were doing cost cutting, lol.
The interior is quite good, above average Autoart I would say, so I will only swap out the seatbelts.
Stock engine. This is where it gets a bit weird. As mentioned this is the legendary engine from the GT-R, yet they have made several new parts, and some of them are worse than the ones in the GT-R. The small tanks (brake fluid, etc) seen alongside the marshmallow (white tank) are crap, and will go. The ones in the GT-R are not great either, but better. Why make new ones for this car? From google pics they are identical on both cars, so it makes no sense. I will use Kyosho parts for that anyway. The battery is also very bad, but I guess its because its almost completely hidden when the body goes on.
Speaking of weird, they put a photo etched throttle linkage on the car. And its nice too. Obviously they only made half of the thing, but saves me time for sure. It was covered in the yellow tinted Autoart glue, but that stuff comes off with nail power and leaves no mark on metal. Score! Oh, and they didnt paint the valve cover bolts.
Engine in parts.
Stock chassis. It was missing the springs, but I found some that fit in my rubbish pile.
Pimped.
Its quite well made, more 3D than most. If I find a cheap Z432 in the future I will have a go at making functional suspension. Now that would be cool, and shouldnt be that hard. Some cutting, drilling, and inserting steel rods. What could possibly go wrong?
Fuel tank.
The engine after many, many things has happened to it. I will take some better pics later.
The plan is for it to look like this when done, I will use the wheels from a tuned KPGC10. (Not decided on colour yet).
All for now!

Cool model stock...loving the added detail & the step by step process.
always really liked the early 240Z, just classic looking.

Thanks, Gavin. Not much left apart from stancing and a few minor things, maybe finished during the weekend.

Am on the fence about adding the 240z in this scale, the early GTR's I have.

Thanks, nicadraus!
rotormotor, Autoart will be releasing the Devil Z soon, and I bet my arse some tuned ones will follow. (Repaints with better profit margins since no Manga fees, lol))

Re: Autoart Datsun 240Z (Z432)
Thanks, sir!
This car is now finished. I sat it aside for a long time because the suspension needed a lot of hacking and violence to fit the universal hubs, but in the end I just went meh and installed the wheels as not rolling, but steering. I basically built new stubs from styrene and mounted the wheels in the original position (on purpose), this is not supposed to be all Devil Z-y.
All the details in front of the radiator are basically only visible through the grille mesh, but that mesh has quite big holes so I felt it was worth doing.
