This is a Fantastic update and a re buy of a Holy grail in 1/12th. It's my 11th model this year and what a Stunner it is. Its the Kyosho 1/12 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S in White. You just forget how cool these models are and talking to a few collectors we are all of the same opinion that the White on white version is the best looking of all the versions Kyosho did in 1/12. It came with the usual paint rash but not bad and i thought i would use T cut as a mild abrasive/cutting polish to get the rash out. It took 1 1/2 hours to make it like new again so it worked for me as you can go so far then stop to see what effect the cutting has done and it is not a quick rub and done job so happy with the final result. As i said i had this White version several years ago and foolishly sold it but took photos of it while it was in my collection but not the best photos back then so i had the chance to get sharper photos outside today once i had cleaned the new purchase up. If ever you get the chance to purchase one of these i would say go for it, a Stunning work of Art and one of Kyosho's best efforts putting to shame their recent resin and sealed models, although very nice they are they are not in the same league as the Diecast and fully opening models of yesteryear.
Now that's what I'm talking about! What a beauty!! I can't believe you sold this one since you're truly 1:12 collector? I'm in love with this one, a classic Lambo.
I have the Kyosho 1:18 Countach LP-5000QV in White and Baby Blue, a rare model I have duplicates of!
Thank you again. You know the beauty of this as you have 1/18 Countach models. If only they had kept on making these beauties instead of Resin sealed models. These have disappeared off the face of the Earth and i am so lucky to have added another to my collection. The Missus put pressure on me to sell them as storage room was an issue but wisely i got most back including this. Just a few more 1/12 from the past to get back hopefully over time i have luck on my side again. Not listening to the missus any more LOL.
Holy Grail time now and what a stunner i have lined up for you Guys, In my opinion. I got a message from Francisco at Raceline models ( a HUGE thank you) giving me first refusal to the BBR/Raceline model shop special 1/12 2017 FXXK Evo in Fire Red, #4 of 5 as i had mentioned it was a model i was after on Facebook. This is such a stunning colour in front of me and photos do not do it justice, the best i can show you is when it landed Yesterday and i took a few quick snaps with my phone to show how nice the colour is. The rest of the photos are from outside to show better detail to this Beauty. I have this in White too but this is the natural colour it should be, So happy to add this to the collection, what a Stunner.
Lovely piece! I recently acquired the BBR Pagani Barchetta, somewhat disappointed in the overall interior results. And it wasn't cheap, even at my cost, 1:18 scale replica either!
That's sad to hear although i have seen in 1/12 from them they do release bad models now and again. Let's hope these are the last of the bad models from them.
Here is the latest model to arrive and i love the Rally theme Top Marques have been producing for a while now. This is the Top marques 1/12 1992 Lancia Delta Integrale HF MC Winner 1992 White/Martini. This is another Fantastic looking model and i can't wait for them to bring out more of these Rally/ road rally versions in 1/12th.
Thanks Guys. Been moving into getting Holy Grails from now on as i keep looking at my list and i always divert my buying to nice but not Grail models so this year or from now on i will be concentrating more on the Grail side of my list so not as many models in 1/12 but some real beauties to come, if i manage to get them.
