My collection

Post by Gavin » Fri Aug 24, 2012 11:11 am

Hey everyone,

My name is Gavin...I think I recognize quite a few names from the various other boards.

I've been collecting model cars since I was 3 & started 1:18's with BB's Jaguar SS100 when I was 8 (still have it). Currently I'm right around 500 1:18, with another 700 or so in various other scale (a vast majority of those are Hot Wheels & Matchbox 1/64's).

I currently have 13 on display at work, 8 in our home office, 4 in our family room & the rest in our unfinished basement. We moved into this house in late 2007 & plan to finish off the basement in the next couple years. We'd like to get some Ikea cabinets to go where the AA/UT/Kyosho boxes are now. Below are pics as of June 1, 2012....looking around the room from left to right (over 3 walls).

Hey Gavin, welcome to DS! We've had a good relationship on another forum that I'm happy to continue here. I never realized how extensive your collection was, absolutely amazing! I hope you finish that basement soon as you will appreciate the models even more. Glad to see you around here again welcome and thank you for your continued friendship.

Welcome Gavin,

Is it a die cast store or a personnal collection :wow:

It's a real nice collection, and I know that you have many Muscle Cars :okay:

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am looking forward to finishing off the basement & getting some displays, but the current set-up works for now & is 100% better than our old house...where they were just stuck wherever we had the room (still boxed). At least this way, I can still enjoy the whole collection.

Thanks...I'm just under 550. Need to resnap these pics to show the growth (these pics are from June 2012).

I do have 2 RS Spyders, though they're both from Norev (2007 Dyson, 2005 Penske).

Sweet. Now lets see a detailed presentation of all the cars, lets say you do one a day ... it would only take around 18 months. Hehe!

Love the 2 RS Spyders, especially the blue and white version. Reminds me of a Pescarolo....minus the green, of course!
