Preparing my Home Office/Mancave

Post by BRN9121 » Sat Dec 10, 2022 4:53 am

Ignore the dust, I'm getting everything arranged before I start cleaning and detailing them.
Waiting on some furniture to arrive, too.

Video link removed.

I don't know honestly, I'm not a fan of displaying models in their boxes. I am however, installing glass doors on the cabinets. They're expensive cause they will be 2 meters high and 6mm tempered glass.

Doing something is better than nothing, and these models are;t cheap either. I know how expensive custom cabinets are, just spend north of $5K CND on a new display because I ran out of space. I have all 700 models on display, not in the hobby to keep models in boxes, I enjoy them! :okay:

PS When complete, please submit your collection for DCOTM!

I already did, but got an email stating that I need to submit some info which were already included.
So I'm stuck there, not quite sure what the next steps are.

Great looking display. Really like the license plates behind the models.

Hi, they are significant to me because I collect memorabilia from major motorsport events in my county.

For every FIA sanctioned event, the local venue will issue limited productions of metal plates with the name of the event and date embossed on them. That's it.

I have participated in every single one of them as an official.

Events include the likes of F1, WEC (World Endurance Championship) and Australian Desert 400 V8 series including CIK karting championships.

That is very cool...they look awesome, but to learn the significance of them & the fact that you're an official at the event is even better. :okay:
