Wes' Collection - Leaving the diecast hobby...
Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Kyosho Ferrari F40
I love it. The 1:12 scale is awesome, and I would take the plunge if only more of my favorite exotics were available in 1:12. The details are so impressive: lettering on the window glass??! Opening fuel filler door.
I also agree with you that the F40 is still the car of all cars. I was a teenager when it first came out.
I'm still holding out for a 1:18 high end street version.

I was going to wait for the 1/18, but considering the prices they're going for, I thought the 1/12 was actually better value. Due to the recent weeding out of some models I actually have plenty of space to go around for once.

Looks like a fantastic model.

Divine beauty.
I have the same model and while it is not the most detailed the size changes the way you look at these details.

Totally worth the upgrade.
Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Lamborghini Miura Jota
Beautiful. There seems to be bigger difference between 1:12 and 1:18 versions of the same car compared to F40.

Fantastic details, pure model porn. Looks a lot more refined than the F40.

Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Lamborghini Miura Jota
The real F40 wasn't a very refined car. Huge panel gaps etc.
Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Lamborghini Miura Jota
awesome addition...I have the 1:18 in the same color & its one of my favorite Lambos. In 1/12, that has to be seriously impressive in person.

Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Ferrari Enzo
I'm one of those that don't love it (I do like the Enzo based FXX a lot better).
Still, a very impressive model. I like the decal in the windscreen.

I like the FXX too. Track specials are some of my favourite cars.

Re: Wes' Collection - New 1/12 Ferrari Enzo
I dont like the Enzo either, but dont listen to me, the allure of both Ferrari and Lamborghini is lost on me. I particularly frown at the F1 tribute nose design on the Enzo, makes me cringe.
The model looks fantastico though, is that real leather seats?
Oh and +1 on the FXX, its so over the top you gotta love it. Wasnt the MC12 also based on the Enzo?
