love the styling on these & I really need to get one. I keep hoping that Hot Wheels Elite will release a GTS version to replace my Foundation GTS (which I don't find too bad for the under $20 I paid).
My dad's co-worker bought a '72 GTS when I was in high school (mid '80's...right around the time Enzo died & Ferrari prices were skyrocketing). I never liked the Dino much until I saw his & he took me for a ride...then I was hooked.

Re: FRRARI V8 - Dino 246 gt
Looks really well made, might have to get one myself. Thanks for the pics.
Re: FRRARI V8 - Dino 246 gts
I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely done this model is. The styling is very nice, if not outright beautiful, like the 308GTB. I got the red one last year & am very happy with it.
Yours is the Elvis version with at least a wheel swap, right? I like the black on black combo.

Same here. I think it was on your recommendation that I bough one too. Looks slick here:Gavin wrote:I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely done this model is. The styling is very nice, if not outright beautiful, like the 308GTB. I got the red one last year & am very happy with it.
Re: FERRARI V8 - Dino 308

Re: FERRARI V8 - Dino 308
I bought the Elvis edition, arrived with a cracked corner window. Got a 80% refund from the seller, contacted Hotwheels for a window.
They offered no window and instead sent me a whole new car without even charging for shipping. I wish Autoart took such good care of me!

I didn't realize there was that many differences between the two, thanks for the info
Re: FERRARI V8 - 308 GTB QV
I passed on this, as I already have the red 308GTS, but they're relatively cheap & I LOVE this color combo.

Lucky13 wrote:The red one is a great model with many differences from the black Elvis car. The Elvis car is American market spec, with different bumpers. It also has a rearview mirror on the left door (believe it or not those were not standard back then), fog lamps on the front like the earliest Dinos, different tailpipes, unique to the Elvis car (looking like today's diesel pipes LOL) and the correct license plate to the Elvis car. Then of course there are the wire wheels.
If the red one was released first I probably would have never gotten the black and would have not know about the differences. I like them both and can highly recommend them to anyone.
I just received the red and silver/black today and I really like them a lot more than I would have thought. The red one is stuck in the box. One of the screws is rounded off pretty good. I have used a lot of tricks but it might just stay in the box for a while. Does not matter as I prefer the tuxedo paint. It looks very nice.
Re: FERRARI V8 - 308 GTS QV
That Kyosho QV is outstanding...wish I'd grabbed that one. Love the black interior & the front spoiler...gives the 308 a nice aggressive look up front.
Re: FERRARI V8 - 308 group shots
Nice colorful lineup. I never get tired of seeing the 308.
Re: FERRARI V8 - Mondial 8
I have this one as well...it was one of the first Elites I bought that signaled to me, that HW was moving in the right direction. They did a really nice job on this model.
I do wish I'd held out for the 3.2, as the subtle styling changes really improve the look. I don't need 2 Mondials in my collection.

Re: FERRARI V8 - 288 GTO
Simply awesome. Takes the fantastic styling of the 308GTB & adds a ton of aggressiveness.
Still one of my favorite Ferraris & one that I've never seen in person. Supposedly there is one in the city, so hopefully I'll run into it at a car show.

Re: FERRARI V8 - 328 GTB
I never liked the styling on the 328 as much as the original 308...too smoothed over for my tastes.
I have Anson's old 328GTS, but wouldn't mind picking up the Kyosho at some point (or Hot Wheels Elite, if they ever decided to release one).
