Re: ALL THE OTHERS - a most special AMG

Apparently they designed it in 3 months, which is why it flipped end over end twice at La Sarthe with Mark Webber at the wheel in one of them I believe. Evo magazine drove the road version and said it was one of the 10 worst cars they've ever driven. "It had an awful transmission that combined paddle-shift with a clutch pedal that demanded you had the hand/foot coordination of John Bonham. It also had horrible turn-in, power-on and lift-off oversteer. It also broke down during the test." Still love the car though. Nothing else looks like it.

Ha ha...

Something about this car this just strikes the gut, I like what you did with the motor. What else did you update?

Nothing. And honestly, I have had this for so long, that I don't remember what I did on the motor either.
LOL maybe I was a little over zealous. I have the model too, here's some an original motor pic

Kyosho did a really nice job on those CLK-DTM's. I have the white coupe & am really impressed with it. I had their CLK500 Cabrio DE a while back & it was a very basic model (no carpet, dog-legs on the doors)...these DTM's are huge upgrades.

That Merc is stunning. Your pics really bring out the glossy black finish! :okay:

Decent effort from Minichamps, but a fail on the finer detail. A shame as this car is SO bad ass!

Brand new this was $165 cdn, so about $150 usd.

Can't even find a black one on ebay. I just looked through and they're all red.

It was their second release at the time, the silver/grey was the first, truly beautiful colour as well. My records indicate I purchased it 1/17/2010 for $110 at the local Mercedes-Benz dealer.

Wow...I feel very lucky that I bought my black dealer edition for just £55 (approx $94 USD) from eBay a few years ago.

Excellent pics btw!!

I still need to get that one. Scale18 had the grey one at $80US on its release (they were generally the cheapest Minichamps retailer)....can't believe I passed on it. I love the grey, but wouldn't mind getting the red.
