hahaha, all personal preference... I hate GTIs in red personally. Black all the way for me......just look so much more sinister.

As for the RS3, I toyed with waiting to see if it would be released in a different shade as I wasnt sure how I felt about the color. Not sure what the audi name for it is...but looks like Porsche Fashion grey to me and I actually LOVE It! I did add some matching seat color inserts to mine , lowered it slightly and got rid of the unsightly side windows.

I had her apart (and back together now) expecting that I'd need to flock the interior (orignal release red version lacked any sort of "carpeting". To my surprise, Minichamps improved the grey version! Interior is fully flocked....it also has "sport" seats instead of the regular seats that were in the red version I had. It also looks to me like they may have even adjusted the ride height and wheel spacing slightly. I did not need to make any adjustments to the supsension....and these items were a must when I had the original red version. At any rate, Modelissimo has them for cheap at the moment (was 79Euro before the removal of VAT and the additional 10% off. Bought it along with the two GTI's which were both dirt cheap before discounts and the RS3, so the shipping split between the 4 models made the whole purchase a great deal!

Chiron #4 – “The Black Pearl”

Ok, well I may be a bit overboard here, but was chatting with David aka "D N'D-Land" about some builds, cars and other stuff; he shared pictures of an all-black Chiron with me recently and I simply could not stop staring at the pictures. At any rate, it turns out that Costcos in my area must have restocked their Maisto pallets and I scored a couple of Red/Black versions of the Chiron. To boot, I had a gift cert. back from my membership for $15.00 dollars, so I decided "why not one more project"...LOL Below are shots of the actual car and my "interpretation". I decided to go with Black Mica/Pearl paint though and I also altered the interior shade of blue to a True Blue as well. Lastly, I finally received my Bugatti P.E badges, so the model has been dressed up with them (back end, wheel center caps, and steering wheel). Inside, I went with the same paint technique as my other builds but this was far more intensive because I had to do the recessed areas in black first, then paint hand paint the blue patterned sections of the seat. I also went with black on the bolster parts of the seats as well, just because the blue is so vibrant. Finally, I went with a paler blue flocking for carpets and a set of fabric seatbelts in blue with P.E Seatbelt buckles.
