Another Fantastic looking 1/12 from Top Marques is here on show. It's the Top Marques 1/12 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB/4. This is a very nice looking model in the stunning Green(Turquois more like) and comes with "better with every release" detail, although the tyres look a bit unusual in some way to me? Comes with no opening parts but looks so cool in this colour, very nice.

Tires are period correct. no? Also, how is QC? I've been hearing a lot of noise about this lately.

Hi,i would say the tyres are correct but it's the rubber itself,it doesn't look of high quality, maybe it needs a clean with some silicon to bring it back to life ? I took photos of it without cleaning it so can't 100% say the rubber is of lower grade.
As for quality the 1/12 models from TM in general are of good quality, saying that today i have opened a new 1/12 Top Marques model (would have been a future showing on here) and the drivers seat and exhausts have broken off in transit.Looking to send it back for a replacement or some amicable resolution. :wall: :fingercrossed:

This is the second one of these I have bought as the first was sold a few years ago now, regretted it ever since, so glad to get one of these back. It's the GMP 1.12 2003 Chevrolet Corvette #50 Compuware- Pilgrim Collins Gavin. If only models were produced like this now it would make the hobby so much more enjoyable. I would say one of GMP's finest efforts in 1/12th with such nicely thought out detail. The model comes as like the real car with in built jacks on all four corners as can be seen in one of the photos(Twist locking on them). It also comes with the chains and stanchions as well as separate floor jacks that can also be used in a diorama situation. The back travel boxes can stay open per the real car too. This is such a joy to look around I am still smiling now. I have the ruby red pre production 1/12 Corvette but it is not as nice as this Beauty, Enjoy guys and Merry Christmas to you all.

Wow, this one excels on so many levels. Really puts in perspective how many steps backwards this hobby has taken today :(

I like the look of this model and when I got it at a Buy It Now price off the bay that was too good to say no to I was really happy. It's the GMP 1/12 1964 Offy Dirt Champ AJ Foyt Sheraton Thompson. The bad news as can be seen is the seller didn't put any protection around the model or even around the box, it just came wrapped in a thin brown paper. My model was in pieces but I have kept it and put it back together so it looks quite good again. Merry Christmas Guys.

Nice work on the recovery! What happened there? As for the subject, not my cup of tea.

Thanks, the hardest part was getting the wheels glued on but i used the trusty E6000 glue that is very good. A lack of support around the model and wheels also not enough protection around the outer box coupled with the postal service out of a Jim Carrey film that must have played ball with it got it to this state. When these came out they were quite expensive and that is why it took this long to buy one of these.Like yourself i am not too passionate about the model as it was not known by me but a GMP 1/12 for around £75 plus shipping is a good price in my eyes. It does look nice now with the pearl white and red paint.

I have finally done it. I have gotten up to speed to this thread. :worthy:
(And it has taken me only 1 day give and take...)

You sir have a truly exceptional collection and the most impressionable ones to me are the Iveco truck and the miniature figures (Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg). :okay:

Thank you for taking the time to go through it,you deserve a medal so persistence. The trucks were such a worry to eventually get hold of as Customs kept hold of them for quite a while but after parting with another pot of money i had them in my hands, very nice too.As for the figure they are a bit special to have in a collection from this maker and very happy to have collected what i wanted of what he has for sale. :okay:

First of the year for me and another all time classic Beast of Pork to get the year going. The Mighty GT Spirit 1/12 1986 Porsche 959 in Silver. The finish is excellent from what I can see (not the best of eye sights though ) and another welcome addition in the Porsche corner.

I appreciate that because it's an exclusive I think. I don't think anyone else has done the 959 in 1/12.

Drivinghermad wrote:I do have one in blue with paint rash but the others are fine so it is down to the individual model and making sure it doesn't have this before you buy it or you are aware and bid accordingly. I think it's a Fantastic model and like you say the prices are a lot lower than ten or fifteen years ago. I love the little knobs and switches around the drivers seat and the tiny stickers on the windows, they give me a smile.
This is so true. I have ordered 2 white 1:12's of the McLaren F1 and they both had paint rash. Finally found one secondhand which was very close to perfect so it really comes down to the individual model indeed. Looks nice in yellow as well.

Great updates :)
