Some of my latest purchases...

1/18 Autoart Porsche 911 (996) GT3 in white
Image

2x 1/18 Porsche 911 (997) GT3 Cup cars from Autoart
Image

1/18 Porsche 911 (997) Turbo, Dealer Edition from Norev. As with any Norev 911, the ride height is too high in the front so I fixed that. Before and after pics:

And a bonus picture. My AutoArt 911s. Waiting to be displayed properly. :okay:

That Norev looks so much better with the proper ride height.

A lot of Norev's got that problem. Easy fix, but why not correctly made in the first place....

I agree. Not sure why they never fixed the problem but thankfully they're easy to fix. Unlike the Autoart 997s, which I feel are too high as well, I wont mess with taking apart to fix.

I know! One day, when I have the space, I will display them all. :okay:

They aren't new models just sitting there, I've removed them all, don't worry.

it is strange...and its not just on Norev's Porsches. I've adjusted their Audi S5 & MB S-Classes. They seem to have gotten better on newer releases, thankfully.

I've kept the AA's stock too...they look better lower, but that's beyond my meager abilities.

I'm with you there. I don't have the knowledge to take apart models, especially the Autoarts. Out of fear of damaging something I just leave them alone, but I think some of the models I have could benefit from being lower.

I did, however, rip apart a GT Spirit model before, the Ruby 964 Carrera RS to make it sit a little lower. Looks much better now and it was relatively simple since it was just glue and a few screws holding it together. But let me tell ya, when you rip apart a resin model, you realize how cheaply built they really are. :shame:

The 1974 Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera RS from GT Spirit in 1/18 scale. Been waiting for this car for a while, actually, since the Spark version in white was damn near impossible to find at a reasonable price. I have the Spark version in red (one of my favorite models) so I put them side-by-side to see who does sealed resin models better. This isn't so much a review, just my thoughts. The pictures aren't that great, either. :okay:

Here it is. First impression is that it looks overall accurate to the real car.
Image

The wheel arches, however, seem a bit too rounded especially in the rear, but that's a minor complaint. The front seems to have a defect, it has sharp edges rather than a smooth arch on the front.
Image

Real car:
Image

The Spark got it right, with a slightly flat wheel arches at the top. I do think the wheels/ tires on the GTS are more accurate, though, the Sparks being slightly too large (a problem I see on new Spark models even):
Image

The Spark's body appears to be wider slightly, overall, than the GTS. Hard to say what is accurate, but I like the wider look. Also, while having it next to the Spark I noticed something for the first time on the GTS. The read engine lid/ wing is seemingly missing a vent!
Image

.....or so I thought. Turns out some of the real cars don't have it either, which I learned. These are two different real 3.0 RSs:
Image
Image

Sorry for this poor shot. The rear badge/ sticker is different on both models (you can sorta see the Spark's "RS" on the right of the rear), but accurate to the real car, as the placement was either in the middle or off to the right and was sometimes "Carrera RS" or just "RS":
Image

Overall, I am not disappointed with the GTS, but I think the Spark still takes the win. The Spark has more weight to it, and seems more accurate overall, so it's a bit higher in quality, if you like resins.

Pros of the GTS:
-Wheels/ tires are accurate in size
-It's a bargain compared to the hard to find Spark version.
-Body paint in usual high quality for GTS

Cons of the GTS:
-Wheels don't look to have the proper shade of gold, they're a little too yellow. They don't match the side decals either.
-The panel gaps/ door gaps aren't very pronounced

Thanks for the feedback on the two. I'm Porsche authority by any stretch of the imagination, so I cannot provide any further feedback if the cars exist or are these variances.

I downgraded my collection significantly (probably sold off half or more cars) so I could A. Save some money and B. Fit my cars into display cases so I can see all my cars for a change.

What was initially a "high end" Porsche 911 collection in 1/18 with 911 Turbos, GT3s, GT2s, RSs and RSRs and 911 Rally cars is now just GT3s, GT2s and RSs.

Not a great quality picture but you get the idea.

What is pictured:
2.7 Carrera RS Touring (Norev) in white/green
2.7 Carrera RS Lightweight (Minichamps) in white/green
2.8 Carrera RSR (GT Spirit) in gulf blue
3.0 Carrera RS (Spark) in red
964 Carrera RS (Autoart) in Mint green
964 Carrera RS 3.8 (GT Spirit) in blue
993 Carrera RS (UT Models) in Riviera blue
993 Carrera RS Clubsport (GT Spirit) in Riviera blue
996 GT3 RS (Autoart) in white/blue
996 GT3 Mk1 (Autoart) in yellow
996 GT3 Mk2 (Autoart) in white
996 GT2 (Autoart) in silver
997 GT3 RS 3.6 (Autoart) in green
997 GT3 RS 3.8 (Autoart) in blue/red
997 GT3 RS 4.0 (Autoart) in white
991 GT3 RS Mk1 (Spark) in birch green
991 GT3 RS Mk2 (Spark) in lizard green
991 GT3 RS Weissach edition (Spark) in Miami blue
993 GT2 (GT Spirit) in dark blue
991 GT2 RS (Spark) in Miami blue
997 GT2 (Norev) in white
997 GT2 RS (Minichamps) in white
997 GT3 Mk1 (Autoart) in white
997 GT3 Mk2 (Norev) in red
991 GT3 Mk1 (Minichamps) in blue

Would like to. I also wish I kept all my Turbos, too! I had some hard to find Turbos.

The way I see it, I am being strict to my theme so I don't go spending too much on these things.

Took some photos of my whole collection as it stands now. While it is not a large collection, nor is it as impressive as other members on here, I am proud of it. I collected all the cars I wanted in the colors I wanted and some of these are quite rare and hard to find these days for reasonable prices. :okay:
