That Lizard Green 991.2 RS...!
Thank you! I grabbed the Lizard Green RS as soon as it became available online before they became very expensive like the Ultraviolet or Lava 991.1 RS were. :money: :money: :money:

Hoping soon I can get some group shots of all the cars together. Just as soon as I find the time to remove 50 cars from their boxes.... :shame:

Great stuff!

Only looked through page 4 of this thread, but will be sure to look at the rest.

Thanks! You aren't missing a whole lot, really, most is on page one. Admittedly I haven't updated this thread all that much, but I plan to soon. The list of cars on page one has changed a bit since I first created it.

Picked up two 1/18 scale Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS models. Left is a 2.7 RS Lightweight from Minichamps and right is a 2.7 RS Touring from Norev. The Norev is sealed, sadly, but not a bad model for about $60 USD and I really like the olive green decals. Though, it has a few errors such as missing Porsche crest on the wheels and the decals on the rear are off. The "Carrera RS" sticker is too high on the rear and the "Porsche" sticker is a bit too narrow and curved.

I got the Minichamps despite already owning an Autoart version of the Lightweight because I think it is overall the most accurate version of the car in 1/18, especially the wheels. I will take more comparison pictures soon.

And that rounds out my RS collection. 2.7 Touring, 2.7 Lightweight and 2.8 RSR.

Not too shabby for the price!

thanks for posting, they look great together.

The wheels on the Minichamps made it an easy decision for me, as did the white/green color combo. A local Porsche collector has a 1:1 in the same colors, along with a matching 997.1 GT3RS.

I still need to get a 2.8RSR. Any thoughts on the Solido?

Nice matching 911s! Very lucky owner. That looks to be a 997.2 RS 3.8 and the 2.7 is a Touring version. Love them in white/ green.

I'm not sure how the Solido 2.8 RSR is, personally, as mine is a GT Spirit version, but here is a review on this site for the Solido. Seems to be a good model for the price, especially if you want opening doors, which the GTS does not. My only gripe, based on pictures, is that the wheels seem slightly too big and the decal placement is incorrect on the rear "Carrera RS" sticker.

yeah...sorry, I fat-fingered that. Should be a 997.2.

Thanks for the review, I completely missed it. The tires are a let down, but the Minichamps version (at 2-3 times the price, no less), seems to have the same issue.

My recent additions, all 1/18 scale: Porsche 2.7 Carrera RS from Welly, 993 Carrera RS Clubsport from GT Spirit, 996 GT3 RS from Autoart, 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 from Autoart, and a 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 from Autoart. All of these are alternate colors to models I already have.

The Welly is the oddball here for sure, grabbed it for a whopping $40 USD making it the cheapest model I have in my collection. In all honesty it is not bad, though, considering it has opening parts unlike the sealed models I have that cost 10 times the price! It doesn’t look half bad either and I’d go so far as to say the overall shape of the car is better than the Autoart version and the wheels look better. Maybe the tires are a bit too large and the car seems tall, but otherwise a good model for the price. Will have to put it side by side with the Autoart and Minichamps versions.

That Welly is indeed not bad at all. Got the exact same 911 here, on display next to a CMC porsche. It doesn't look weird in any way.

Great additions. If I didn't have the Minichamps Carrera RS, I'd be all over that Welly. Looks great to me.

I have the 997 RS 3.8 from Norev, but still need to get AA's 4.0.

Thanks! Yeah, the Welly is real nice to me, for the price. The Minichamps is the best of all the 2.7s in 1/18 if you ask me, even if they are damn near impossible to find for sale at a reasonable price. So don’t worry, you already have the best one!

As for the 3.8, I bought a Norev one long ago (before the Autoart versions were even available) in blue with gold decals, a color I wish Autoart ended up making but didn’t, sadly. However, my Norev arrived completely separated from the base and badly damaged, so I have been nervous buying Norev models ever since. I think it was a good model, but still a bit too close to the price of the Autoart, so it made more sense to me to replace my broken one with the Autoart.

I too got the Norev 3.8 before the AA's came out. Mine is the grey with red decals Dealer Edition. Lowered, it looks good.
