Funny thing, AUTOart already has the basic mould for the 964 and 930! :wall:

I know :wall:

I also know if they would make some special 964's, 930's etc, they would sell like hot cakes.

Speaking about hot ;) Today the Kyosho Pantera GT5 finally arrived after having it pre ordered I guess a year ago. I love this car! The model itself is a bit, well not bad, but was expecting more finesse. The latest Kyosho's I bought were re-releases, so with those I knew they were going to be a bit 'old-skool'. This GT5 (correct me if wrong) is a new release, so I hoped for more refinement, but it is a bit rough, as some of the pictures will show. I can live with it though and I'm happy to add it to the collection.

BTW I once stood next to a real Pantera (not a GT5) and I still remember how terrible everything fitted on that car and how 'kitcar-like' it was. So the model is pretty accurate in that perspective :rotfl:

I've been waiting for this one forever! DS will post their thoughts soon! Also, the model isn't technically "new", it's based off the Pantera L from back in 2012-2013.

Forgot about that one. :shame: That explains some of the more dated area's of the model. But also the extended fenders are not flush everywhere and those parts are new castings I'm sure.

Let see what you think of it when yours arrives ;)

I already have it, I like it. Not perfect, but I love the subject; been waiting for it for years! :okay:

Yesterday this came in. It doesn't get more 80's and cooler than a white Testarossa. I still had a red Bburago Testarossa in the collection and it was on the list to get replaced if something better came along. It is nearly impossible to get a decent white Hotwheels Elite or Kyosho for reasonable money, so when I saw this KK-scale, the choice was easy. I know it's sealed and pretty basic, but the shelve presence is good and it is better than the Bburago. It speaks for itself that I still hope Kyosho will re-release their Testarossa.

The model itself is typical KK-scale. Some errors in the model though, like european side blinkers and the absence of the third brake light. The blinkers shouldn't be there and the brake light should as it is a US-spec car.

They are indeed awful! The whole interior is pretty bad. Maybe I will at some point modify it, but I think I just wait for a better model in the end ;)

Hopefully, Kyosho figures out a way to re-release some classics Ferraris! :fingercrossed:

The next new model is the AA Audi Quattro S1 E2. Historically too important not to add to the collection. The model actually arrived quite a while ago, but I waited with making pictures till I had time to find decent HB decals and also time to put them on the model. The last part was easy done, but the first was a bit more tricky. A lot of bad or bad fitting decals out there. At last I found some good ones from Italy on Ebay. Don't know what the postal services are doing, but it took 1,5 month to get to the Netherlands. :shame: But, it was worth the wait, it looks a lot better with the decals on.

Looks great with the added decals. How do you like the model overall?

Mixed feelings.

The exterior and shelve presence is very, very good. The shutlines, paint, livery, wheels etc, really nicely done, I can't see anything that I think should have been done better (apart from the decals, but AA can't help the tabacco rules in some countries).

The interior is also pretty good I think, apart from the obvious.

The engine is a bit, well, how should I put it, it is all there, but for some reason it isn't. It is a bit lifeless, to flat, maybe the paint AA used? Also some mould lines that I don't like on various parts. Same for the radiator fans in the rear. But, to be honest, all real life radiator fans I have seen are made from dreadful plastic, so maybe it is accurate.

Than the obvious. What the **** is AA thinking again with the seatbelts????? :shame: In the McLaren 720S it is bad enough, but in this car, being red and very present, they are horrible. AA, stop with this rubber nonsense!!

Can't we start some petition? I like AA, but this will make me look into alternatives in the future. I'm probably adding a McLaren 600LT and having the choice now between AA and LCD, I'm not sure it is going to be the AA. Although I actually prefer the composite over the metal, I can't stand the rubber seatbelt.
