Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Lancia Stratos)
I love the Stratos, especially in red.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Lancia Stratos)
Just like the Stratos, my attention was draw by a Norev model. I have a sweetspot for old european sportscars and fast family cars. One that fits in that spectrum is the Renault 12 Gordini. Model is made by Norev and just like the Sunstar, pretty good value. It's not as good as the Stratos, but it works good on display.
Good --> Paint, shutlines (can't get anything open without an AUTOart tool), overall presence.
Not so good --> Lack of detail onder the bonnet, no carpeted interior, no opening boot and rear doors, dog legs on the front door.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Ferrari 575 GTZ Zagato)
Next is the Ferrari 575 GTZ Zagato from Hotwheels Elite. I think a beautiful car, like most all of Zagato's creations.

It's a great model. I got a great deal on the Super Elite in Red. Unique addition for sure, but still a FERRARI!

Just out of curiosity, is a Super Elite different than a normal Elite? Or is it just packaging, limited production etc?

And the models keep on coming this month. Ordered 2 models at CK last week, the first one the be photographed is not the model I was shopping for, but a model that caught my eye and was so cheap, I just had to click on it. Within 2 days CK nearly doubled the price on this model, so I bought it at the correct moment
It's my first Mazda, in this case a 1978 Savanna RX-7. I only started adding Japanese cars not so long ago, but the few ones I added so far, I very much like. This Mazda is no exception.

Great looking model...love every gen of the RX7.

There are some model enhancements as well as the packaging. I'll see if I can take some photos. Not sure what the differences are between Elite and Super Elite. Not even sure is the "super" is the proper nomenclature. I wanted the Red so it would align with all my other FerrarisMarcel171281 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 11:08 amJust out of curiosity, is a Super Elite different than a normal Elite? The other model that I ordered at CK is the Jaguar E-type convertible. I had the Bburago in my collection, but one of the most beautiful cars ever, should be represented by a better model than that. So it is replaced now with the AUTOart version. I choose the dark green one, with dark interior. First reason is that I like Jaguars in green, but second, the other AUTOart colors are wrong, as they come with a beige dashboard. All E-types left the factory with a black dashboard.

Elegance at it's finest!
Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection (Jaguar E-type)
agreed...still one of the most beautiful cars.

After a lot of additions lately, I thought it would be a good idea to post some picture of the total collection and how it is dispayed. The number of 1/18 models is 160 at the moment.

Marcel that looks amazing thanks for sharing! Have we featured your collection DCOTM?

Great displays. Not overcrowded...that's hard to do with a large collection.
