It seems you seen a lot we noticed in the review; yes that motor is somewhat static, lifeless as you say...

I should have the LCD Mac 600LT soon, it will be reviewed ASAP.

Straight on to the next one. This Mazda 787b was on my list for a long, long time, as this is a truly historical race car (one and only rotary engine to win Le Mans in 1991). Preferably the AA model, but good luck finding that one. And if you're lucky be prepared to sell at least 1 kidney. So, when Sprak announced it, I pre-ordered without thinking twice. Yes a Spark model is sealed, but it is my 11th and none of them have disappointed so far. Neither does this one.

What a solid effort for the price! I'd love if you could start writing detail reviews, we don't have access to them all. Cheers!

I will definitely do that. Approaching the holidays here (and possible lockdown again), so in a week (or 2) I will have plenty of time!

Great! You can submit any review you want, try to focus on models we don't always feature, like the Mazda. TIA!

Time for some updates here. Finally the work on the house is coming to an end, which means time to take pictures of the various new arrivals to the collection. First one I like to share is the AUTOart Nissan Skyline RS Turbo Super Silhouette. I have to be honest with you guys, the last 6 month or so, I was more and more wondering why I was still in this hobby. Not thinking about stopping or something drastic, but I noticed that I wasn't as enjoyed with new models as much as I used to be. Well that changed completely with this model. It is impossible to discribe it. It is straightaway in my top 3 of the models in my collection and only beaten by, not even all, CMC models I have. It is also impossible to grasp all the details. I looked at it for hours and still was discovering new things. It is perfection, there is no other word to discribe it.

Also makes you thing what the hell AA is doing nowadays. For instance the recently released Audi Sport Quattro rally car should have been just as mindblowing. But the painfull truth is, it doens't even come close. Don't know what it is, but the term 'to clinical' or 'lifeless' comes to mind.

Well enough talk, enjoy the pictures.

This is classic AUTOart; old model with some updates and new livery. This comes from the hey days of collection, this model is exceptional. Unfortunately for me I don't appreciate the subject matter, though I have three of them sitting right next to me LOL (friend order).

I'm just about to out this one in front of the lens, and like you said, the Audi Rally is far cry overall when side by side :(

Speaking about far cry...

When announced, I thought it would be nice to add the Shmee150 SLS black series to the collection. I watch a lot of his video's and really like the spec of his SLS and the SLS in general. Only 99 made and sold out in less than 30 minutes, there was no time to think, so I just clicked. The model arrived three weeks ago, but I didn't have time to take a good look at it till yesterday. Well.... I will keep the model, because in the cabinets it looks pretty damn good, but up close it is a poor attempt from Minichamps. The paint is good, but that is about it. The carbon fiber is nice from a distance, but the application of the decals is very sloppy. The interior is basic and the engine is a very poor. Also they forgot the Mercedes logo in front of the bonnet. And it is not only on mine, the ones I saw on FB and the ones allready on Ebay (for absolute ridiculous prices...) are missing the same logo. Luckily I have some spare logo's from various manufacturers, so mine has one now. But for over 200 euro... dear lord....

This probably is the last Minichamps I bought in my life. We can say a lot about what AA is doing, but this really shocked me. I have 3 Bburago signature models and they are better. Even the regular Bburago Ferrari SP2 is better.

Minichamps in one word SUCKS. As for Shmee, as the British say it's rubbish! I can't stand the guy and his videos... :wall:

Hi, can you confirm the size of your diorama? I think it's probably 120cm x 50cm x 40cm. Thanks

Yes aprox those internal measurements. External height 10cm more to house wires and lighting.

Also this came in about a month ago. I just couldn't pass on it. I missed it when it was release years ago, while being absent from the hobby for some time. Glad that Kyosho did a re-release. Decent model must say. Sure the trained eye can see it is developed some time ago, but still not bad at all. Slowly but surely more and more gaps in the collection are filled.

Next addition wasn't really planned, but Modellissimo and CK drop the prices on this Alfa 4c to a level of bassically pocket change in early January. Another example of patience is key in this hobby. About the model; Nice, but not overwhelming. Interior is a bit dreary, being all black. This will join the 'to modify' list, I think red seats and interior accents will be very nice. The paint on the exterior is on the other hand absolutely lovely. It is hard to get it photographed, but the pearlescent paint is . Also the wheels and overall look are above average so to speak.
