Time for something totally different again. It came in quite some time ago, but didn't have time to make picture until now. The AUTOart Porsche GT2RS Weissach was a must add for me (and many, many others I guess). I chose the Guards red. Normally I don't really like red Porsches (have plenty of Porsches, but not a single one in red until now), but in this case for some reason I do. In this colour, with the black wheels, it just looks angry.

The model itself is excellent, especially the shape, stance and wheels.
Two disappoiting part: seatbelt again and the horrible molded carbon in the engine compartment.

I don't believe this car looks bad in any colour, nice addition!

I like the red and black combination, too — looks tough!

I changed the seat belts and it was easy. Also I painted the roll cage in grey, much better than black.

Last couple of weeks quite a few new models came in and so I am a bit behind in taking pictures of them, but going to try and catch up. The first I took photo's of is the re-released Kyosho Austin Healey 3000 mk1.

When I saw the announcement last year or so, I immediately fell in love with the black with red interior specification, so I pre-ordered it. It came in 2 or so months ago, but unfortunately damaged. I don't mind glueing back parts, but this example also had severe paint damage, so I returned it. Unfortunately the batch was sold out, so I had to wait for the next container to arrive from China. It came in some weeks ago and so did my replacement model. But,... Again damaged: windscreen out, rear bumper broken off and the chrome on the bonnet intake off. But no paint damage and parts missing. So after a partial refund and some playing around with glue, here it is.

Sorry to hear about the issues. I was never a fan of AH, I have no explanation ;)

That's really frustrating, especially with 2 different models. Love the AH. I have AA's old version which is nice, but Kyosho did much better color combos, particularly this one.

I think this model is a good example of the pathetic quality of glue being used on so many models nowadays. From what I've experienced, MANY of the model makers are using inferior quality glue. I think they must all be buying from the same glue supplier, which obviously produces a very poor product! :wall:

The next arrived pre-order is a long awaited model. A new CMC model is always special, but this is different as I 'met' this very Ferrari 275 GTB/C chassis 09057 at Spa classic in 2012. Seeing it, hearing is, smelling it is something special. Immediately when CMC announced it I pre-ordered it. I've read some critism about the model online, but no idea why as the model is stunning. Absolutely flawless and beautiful.

You can't make everyone happy but at their prices the community is definitely going to let them know. In the end are you happy with it? I believe you are.

Stunning model. I like the version you choose...the fact that you had a personal connection with the 1:1 makes it even better.
