Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
My 125th 1:18 model is the Kyosho Countach LP400. Reasonable price, for a reasonable model. It's sealed, which is a shame offcourse, but because of the lines I wouldn't display it open anyway.
The Koenig Countach was already part of the collection, but it's nice to see the differences between a really early Countach and the most bizarre version of it.

Thanks!crz wrote:That's a nice collection Marcel! I see a lot of similarities with my collection. I am especially surprised by the Aston Martin from Spark, didn't know it was such a nice model until I saw your pictures.
Also I am curious. Which shop are you talking about here?
Greetings from a fellow DutchieYesterday I went to a shop here in the Netherlands, that always has some older models in stock, that are brand new and hard to find. It's a total drive of 5 hours, but always worth it (doesn't have these models in his online shop).
Most Spark models are pretty decent for the money. Got the Corvette GTE from the same le Mans in pre-order. I'm very curious about that one as well. Also got a Matra MS670, Ford GT40 and Porsche 956 from Spark. All very nice.
The shop I was talking about is Armand Modelcars in Sittard. Very nice shop, mostly 1:43, but enough 1:18 to drive to the other side of the country every now and than.
Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
Nice, I should really check out the Spark models then and give it a try.
I know that shop, usually I cannot find on their website what I'm looking for. Sittard is a 2 hour drive for me as well but might consider visiting them one day
Going to the NAMAC convention on saturday by the way?

What brands do you normally collect?crz wrote:Nice, I should really check out the Spark models then and give it a try.
The online shop is not so good, he has more is his real shop than that he sells online. And also some models that he hasn't got anymore are still in stock on his website, but are already sold out. He will tell you when you try to order or reserve them. I think he is just not so good in keeping his online shop up-to-date. The real shop is absolutely gorgeous.crz wrote:I know that shop, usually I cannot find on their website what I'm looking for. The lines on the Countach LP400 are sharp. Such a classic design.
Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
Usually Autoart, Kyosho, Minichamps, TSM, Avanstyle, Ottomobile, GT spirit, UT models.Marcel171281 wrote:

Good to know about the shop, will definitely check them out soon!

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
Yesterday I did some clicking on the internet and today this arrived:
It's made by Kyosho and I like it. Apart from the doglegs under the hood, it's pretty good.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
I did some more clicking on the internet and before I knew it this was on my doorstep:
Made by OttoMobile, it's the Apline GTA V6 Turbo. I have some kind of softspot for cars that are different or not as populair with others. Not everyone will like it, but I really do.
The model is nice, no QC problems (never had any with GTS of Otto, knocking on some wood as I type....) and I especially like the paint and color. It's impossible to get the color correct on a photo, it's not simple white, but some pearl white, which looks different from every angle. Very nice.

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
I visited my favourite shop again yesterday and came back with 5 models this time. First one I photographed is the Schuco Samba bus. I chose the black and white one, because of the red contrasting interior.
I will let the photo's speak for themselfs. It's just wunderfull.

Took some pictures of the next purchase. Just like the Samba Bus, the Beetle is a very, very nice model!
Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
Yes, reviewed a similar one a year or two ago. Schuco is brilliant most of the time!

Re: Marcel's 1/18 scale collection
But there is more
Took pictures of 2 other models I bought Friday. Totally different than the two VW's, but if you like it, just buy it is the motto here.
First is the Porsche 908/3 made by AutoArt. I took the Martini version, because of the dutch driver Gijs van Lennep who drove it (together with Helmut Marko). Decent AutoArt (not there very best), prices on these are very vriendly, so pretty happy with it.
Second one is a porsche 917/30 made by Minichamps (they actually call it a 917/20, but that's incorrect, that was the pink pig le mans car). It's the old minichamps mold, which means it comes with opening parts. There is absolutely no point in getting this model in the sealed version, because the party piece is not on the outside..... Twin Turbo, 1200HP Flat 12 cilinder engine. Total madness, with 1970's safety

Nice additions. The 908 looks great.
